The room was silent. Grimm said nothing as Junior continued, wrapped up in his cloak and horns fluffed in agitation. Tears were pooling at the corners of his already red-splotchy face, voice thick and wet as he spoke.
"If I'm so important, if I matter so much, then why don't you act like it? Why do you treat me as if I'm not there? Why did you throw me away the first chance you got? Why-" He stopped, then. Paused, words stuck in his throat as pink-tinted tears streamed from narrowed eyes. "Why did you not want me back, even after everything? Why was I raising myself after Ghost died? Why are you still not willing to take any part in my life?"
Grimm bristled, cloak sharpening at the tips as his own horns fluff up slightly, a warning.
"Junior-"
"Why am I still not good enough for you?"
A puff of smoke left Grimm unable to reply, words hot on his tongue and eyes glowing with rage. However, as expected, Junior was gone when the smoke cleared, and the tent was empty aside from himself.
