Do I have the best fandom friends or what? Look what the brilliant @lorelei-lee sent me!!
Thank you so much, I love each and every piece!
The card is by @bluebellofbakerstreet (Redbubble), the crocheted stars are by Lorelei-Lee herself, and I don't know where the wooden cutout ornaments are from but perhaps she will let us know?
First things first: your blog is fantastic! The pictures, the information - simply brilliant. Now I have a rather tricky question, because Google wasn't very helpful - I hope you have an answer. (Victorian) Sherlock Holmes is often portrayed (art, movies - Jeremy Brett for example) with a bow tie that is tucked under the collar. Is this a certain style? Does it have a name? Or is it simply a "bow tuck" or "a tucked bow"?
I had to google to figure out what you were talking about. Good old Jeremy Brett!
I’m afraid I couldn’t find any information on this method of wearing a tie, but googling “bow tuck” does bring up images of it, so that’s at least what it’s being called NOW. I imagine it was probably just called a bow tie at the time and that this was just one of the acceptable ways of wearing it.
Anybody know anything about this subject?
I'm sorry for disturbing you... but perhaps you could help me? I don't know anything about ballet but I stumbled over a video on youtube. It's from Baryshnikov and it's the prince's variation from act III "the sleeping beauty". I don't know why, but I like it very much! Now I want to know what the steps are called... Could you please help me out? Or point me to someone who can? Thank you very much!
Sorry for taking so long to reply! I’m actually still learning about ballet, so I don’t know most of them. Can any of my followers help?
