it's a quiet way to spend the holiday [ ... ] the only sounds bouncing off the four walls containing them were their private conversations , the gentle strumming of strings on the guitar settled atop his legs , and now a laugh crawling up from the confines of his throat. FOR SOME REASON , he found that hard to believe. maybe it was his preconceived notion of what sort of bands he believed she usually hung around —— it was difficult for him to imagine it was only the types like his that smeared paint on their bodies and gurgled into a microphone for a living.
