Yes! It's so gorgeous I spent the first three episodes mostly just admiring the sets and costumes, but episode four came in with a roundhouse kick of Mariko and Fuji feelings and it didn't let up from there. Surprise childhood bffs separated by politics and murder! I also did not expect the brothel supblot to be so moving or enjoy the priest so much. Just a great cast and some lovely camera work.

FACT: The villanelle, also referred to as the villanesque, is a poetic format consisting of four tercets and a quatrain, with two refrains and two repeating rhymes throughout--the refrains are the first and third lines of the initial verse, and are repeated alternatingly throughout the poem to cap off each verse, with the final quatrain including both at the end (with some alteration allowed in this instance). Some notable examples include Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night by Dylan Thomas, Mad Girl's Love Song by Sylvia Plath, One Art by Elizabeth Bishop, and of course, Hate The Villanelle by They Might Be Giants.
