in the aa universe there’s absolutely a thriving culture of trial bootlegs.

it’s illegal to film trials in the aa universe, so people have done everything from sneaking in phones to record to hacking into security cam footage and then selling that on the internet

there’s a whole website dedicated to selling trial bootlegs

some trials have more bootlegs than others-- for example its impossible to find any footage of state vs edgeworth (the only footage that does exist of it is a really popular clip of phoenix cross examining polly), but there’s a billion state vs enigmar bootlegs out there

lawtwt is obviously constantly in a debate about whether or not bootlegs are okay, whether or not its okay to sell bootlegs-- any drama in the real life musical bootleg community has probably happened on lawtwt, with the added layer of the fact that theyre filming Trials and not like. musicals

Made in like 2014-2016? I just finished succession so i know that it really doesn't give us a good timeline on when Thalassa dissapeared. It's either a few years before State v Enigmar or like. one single year before it.

Behind the Curtains: A prestige documentary about troupe gramarye, focuses on their general rise to fame and the number of fucked up things going on behind the scenes made around 2018. So it's not quite at the level of 'god one of these guys killed the troupe leader' but its kind of like 'ohohoho look at the shit going on in the lives of these celebrities' you know how it is.

Which lawyers would be verified on Twitter in your opinion?

Okay so I'm going to pull out the Twitter verification faq for this one. Twitter has three things you need to be to get verified

1) Authentic-- this just means that when applying to be verified you need to show some proof that you're who you say you are-- an official email, website, or something like that

2) notable. This just means that you have to be famous. Twitter has a bunch of categories for people being 'notable' like government, entertainment, sports, etc

3) active-- this just means you actually have to be active on Twitter

Going with that, let's go through all the lawyers in the mainline AA games:

Phoenix Wright: I think Phoenix, by the end of game 6 is definelty notable enough to be verified on twitter. He's been at the center of multiple cases that made headline news, people know his name. However. Phoenix Wright absolutely does not have a Twitter account. The WAA does have a Twitter, though, and that's verified

Miles Edgeworth: one, all the things that apply to Phoenix apply to Miles, but I think Miles is an active Twitter user. Also, I looked, and the real life LA District Attorney is verified, and since that's basically the American equivalent of Miles's job, he's probably verified.

Manfred Von Karma: mvk was verified on twitter. Currently, someone has clicked the "memorialize" button on his account (this is a real thing)

Franziska Von Karma: franziska is a bit hard cause she doesn't show up in the later games so we don't know how famous she's gotten, but I'd say if people Knew about her when she was 18, then people Know about her now. Also, prosecutors being government employees are probably more likely to be verified than defense attorneys. So yes.

Godot: no <3

To elaborate more, Godot was a not super well known defense attorney before being in a coma for 5 years, after which he changed his name, and switched his job. Most people in the prosecutors office don't know who he is, I don't think Twitter does either. (He does have a dedicated fanbase, however)

Apollo: Apollo is not verified on twitter. He has tried multiple times to get verified but he cannot manage it.

Klavier: klav is a world famous rockstar, he's verified

Kristoph: hmm. Kristoph is probably smart enough to get himself verified even if he wasn't as popular as some of the other verified lawyers.

Athena: Athena is verified because she's just that cool. Also, it's funny that she's verified and Apollo and Phoenix arent

Simon Blackquill: Simon Blackquill doesn't have a twitter

Nahyuta: Nahyuta isn't verified on Twitter, mostly cause of this joke

Winston Payne: no

Imagine being a fan of these lawyers circa early 2000s, and your favorite lawyer's just lost his case against an undefeated opponent BUT he got a pretty serious penalty which is big. And you’re like “wow, that was such a great trial! Well, time to go to work.” and you get back from your grueling 8-hour shift and the mans been murdered
