Marathon of Books Blog - March 18, 2014
Dear Canadian Teen Book Lovers,
Guess who's going to be on Canada AM tomorrow morning?! Me! And I read on Canada AM's twitter feed that Kermit the Frog is going to be on the show too! Do you think he will be there in person? If he is, I hope I get the chance to meet him. I am very excited about getting the opportunity to share my Marathon of Books with the whole country!
I had a long day, but it was productive and affirming. After my pre-interview with Katie Jamieson, a producer for Canada AM, I went to the Neuromuscular clinic for my appointment. My muscles are maintaining their base strength which is about half the strength of a normal person's, and my doctor listened to my concerns about my stamina and offered some suggestions. I like how he's always willing to think outside the box and takes into account the complicated nature of my medical situation without being restricted by it. I felt hopeful after my appointment, and it was a pleasant feeling.
Plus, when I told the staff at the clinic about my Marathon of Books, they loved it! I took flyers and buttons and gave them out, and one doctor asked me what I was reading today and how long it would take me. It turned out to be "If You Live Like Me" by Lori Weber and I said I expected it to take me four hours. It took me 3 hours and 51 minutes. :)
I have an early morning with my interview being at 7:40 am, so I'm going to finish up my review and try and get some beauty sleep. If you don't end up being awake that early in the morning, don't worry because I will post a link when I get it.
