n1: Soda Stereo ★
Jorge González has stated in multiple times his problem with soda stereo's concept and overall glam rock vibe, as he was against the whole rockstar and celebrity vibe during the 80s. Most of his critics were done in parts of his songs or sarcastic remarks during interviews; the most popular moments being where Jorge interrupted one of his songs to scream in the microphone "CHARLY FUCK ME CHARLY" refering to the drummer of the group Charly Alberti and the song 'Él es mi ídolo', which critics the idealization of artists and is often thought to be written to soda's vocalist and guitarist Gustavo Cerati. Funnily enough, Jorge has talked positively about Soda stereo's music in some occasions. To this day, between the group's fans there's an ongoing fight over who's the better group.
n2: Los Tres ★
In the early years of both groups, they met for the first time in a show they were both playing at and the problems started right there, with Los Prisioneros hating on Los Tres rockabilly style and them criticizing The Clash, some of Jorge's biggest inspirations. Over the years tho, the vocalist of Los Tres, Álvaro Henríquez, and Jorge became close friends; with Jorge talking positively about them in the 2001 concerts, mentioning the bassist of the group Titae positively in the song Concepción and even having Álvaro as part of the group for a short period close to the ultimate disband of the group (this phase being called by the media "Los Prisionellis", a word game between the band name and Álvaro's band in the moment, Los Pettinellis).
n3: Charly García ★
In the beginning of his career, Jorge made an interview where when being asked about his opinion on Charly García, he answered that "He thinks he's a god, I think he'd give his life to be born north american. How can we believe him if he jumped in every opportunity train made by gringos? Hes a poser."; and in the same concert where he sang about Charly Alberti, Jorge mentioned the argentinian, in the song 'Nunca quedas mal con nadie' during one of the verses, he changed the lyrics to include the name of one Charly's album 'Yendo de la cama al living'. The criticism was related to the meaning of the song, about the performative way lots of self proclaimed rebellious artists gave their message. Charly has given an opinion too about Jorge and Los Prisioneros in the back stage interview he gave in Viña 2003 (where Los Prisioneros played a deay before), where he said "As musicians, they're very bad. I think they try to have comertial succes and they're sellouts, because I'm a sellout too." and "The thing is not how you do it if you have talent. (...) You need something in your head and playing well."
