Have not been out of Los Alamos County or below 7000 feet or above 9000 feet since March 24. I decided to fix that and did a stupid road ride from the house that dipped into Santa Fe County, San Ildefonso Pueblo, Sandoval County as well as Bandelier National Monument, along the Santa Fe National Forest and across some Lab property. I was too cracked to get to Valles Calderas land, and I don’t think you can get to Rio Arriba county on a road bike from directly Los Alamos County. I did bomb down the main hill road for the first time in over a decade. The climb from Ancho Canyon (below 6500 feet) to the top of NM 4 (above 9000) was a doozy, I used to do that regularly, but not so much anymore. Ran out of water at the top, but made it the ten miles home ok.
