Wow, those consorts sure are fucking nuts. Most of them are liable to tear your head off on sight the moment you enter the makeshift thing they call a village. However, after a bit of spying, they still seem capable of speech... perhaps they can be reasoned with to allow strangers to pass through at will?

Welcome to the Game

The Land of Ships and Prose is oddly literal. Seafaring vessels of all shapes and sizes sail a sea of ink, travelling to and from different islands of colour in ther black and white world. Each island is a unique 'Illustration', they vary from garish, vivid, simple places, to intricately detailed miniature worlds. The only trait they all have in common is that they seem somehow unreal. And the squirrels. Adorable, fluffy squirrels. In sea green. It takes some getting used to, but they're friendly enough, if rather nervous. They're prone to hissy fits, and when a fight breaks out on a ship it will often refuse to sail until some hero steps in to soothe wounded feelings and calm agitation. That hero is you.
