Ashton laughed loudly as he looked up at you from the other side of the lunch table, seeing you had a piece of food on your face from your sandwich. "What?" You asked him as he continued laughing, not even being able to answer you because of his giggles. You frowned, looking around to see if anything around you was the cause of his laughter. You couldn't see anything so you knew it must be you. "Ashton! Don't be annoying! What is it?" You asked your best friend.

He finally calmed down, pointing to your face and smiling. "You've got a massive blob of mayonnaise on your cheek" He told you and you gasped, quickly grabbing a napkin and wiping it away. Your cheeks went bright red as you looked down, feeling very embarrassed that you didn't realize it was there. It wouldn't have been that bad if Ashton hadn't of cracked up laughing, but he was just that sort of person sometimes, always one to find stupid things like that funny. It also didn't help that you had a massive crush on the boy either. 

"C'mon Alina, don't take things so seriously! You're no fun at all" He laughed, playfully nudging you hand that was resting on the table with his. You didn't say anything, you felt even worse now that he was calling you not fun. You tried not to take these things so seriously but when it came to Ashton you couldn't help it, he was very important to you and you always tried your hardest to try and impress him. "Alina?" He asked you once he saw that you weren't very impressed with his jokes. 

"I think I'm gonna go to class early, I need to quickly revise some stuff before the test" You made up an excuse to leave, getting up, grabbing your bag quickly and walking away. You walked down the empty halls of your school, everyone else was either outside or in the cafeteria, and you made your way slowly towards the science labs. You were startled when you felt a hand on your shoulder, and you sighed a sigh of relief when you saw that it was only Ashton. 

He smiled sadly, walking towards your classroom with you. "Listen, I'm sorry if I offended you before" He told you. You didn't say anything as you knew he was about to continue to apologize. "I think I just try so hard to be funny sometimes that I don't think whether or not I may offend you" He looked at you, silently signaling that he was done talking. 

"But you don't need to try so hard, when you try you just embarrass me or offend me, when you're not necessarily trying you're super funny" You told him, explaining to him how you felt. He nodded, looking at his feet as you two walked. "Why do you try so hard anyway? Like, what's so important that you need to try your hardest to be the class clown?" You asked him, looking up at him. 

A light blush crept up on his cheeks, which made you raise your eyebrows, curious as to what his answer was gonna be. "I don't know... I guess I'm just trying to impress you" You stopped walking and he did too, looking at you nervously. "I'm sorry, but before you say anything you gotta hear me out" He bit his bottom lip, thinking of how to explain his feelings to you. "I've liked you for a long time now, like, since the first time I laid eyes on you. I understand if you don't feel the same, and I'd be super cool and not act any different if you said you just liked me as a friend, but yeah, I uhh, I really, like you" He told you, scratching the back of his neck and not looking at you in the eyes. 

You couldn't help but to smile, as you felt the exact same way. You couldn't think of anything to say that wouldn't make you sound in love with him or dorky, so instead you just leaned up slightly and kissed his cheek, walking towards the science room once again. He laughed, walking at a quick pace and catching up with you. "So I gather you don't hate me?" He asked you, laughing once more and holding onto his bag straps tightly. 

"No, I could never hate you" You told him, laughing also. "If I'm honest I've actually been crushing on you for quite a while now" You admitted, looking at him still. He grinned, looking happier than someone who just won a million bucks. You couldn't help but to grin too, as him smile was just so contagious. 

"Well, do you wanna go on a date with me this Saturday?" He asked you as you two reached the science lab, standing outside the door to finish the conversation before walking in. You would hate for your grumpy old teacher to be there as Ashton asked you out. You nodded happily, pushing your glasses up further on your nose. 

"I'd love to" You told him.

(I hope that's okay! It's bigger than I thought it would be and I had to have a break and eat tea during this too, that's why it took so long!)
