My Love Story with Mama Rema May 22, 1979 - October 16, 2016 #motherslove #losingamother #losingamom (at Tuguegarao City, Cagayan)
I don't know how you're coping. I don't. Your voice only tells me you're exhausted as I ask you how you are and as you explain the death of your mother. You've described the situation before and with each time it sinks in deeper that this is the end.
Your disappointment in your parents is evident to those who listen to you. The disappointment in your father's desperate distance. The disappointment in your mother's carelessness of her health. The disappointment in the situation of wealth without love on one side and the illness of poverty and self-hatred on the other.
I won't say I know what you're experiencing nor that I've been there before. I will say that I love you and you're going to shine and you're making good choices and you'll do better, be better. You'll make yourself proud and those who love you, like me. I'm already proud of the improvements that you've made in your life. The lack of support and the unhealthy attitudes of those around you are not easy to endure, but you're persevering.
I hope you find your voice in this world and you make it heard. I hope you advocate for yourself and for those similar to you. I hope you accept who you are and only give yourself love and understanding with small urges to improve. I hope you dance and sing until your body hurts. Please know that I'm here. I don't know if I can make it better, if I can fix anything. But, I'm here. I'm here to hold your hand, I'm here to listen to your woes and victories, and I'm here to cheer you on. I'm on your team.
