I've always wondered why I don't enjoy music as much as it seems it should be enjoyed. I think it's because I miss a lot of it. I can't hear it. I went to a show tonight and I legitimately couldn't tell one song or noise from the next. The singer spoke between songs and I only heard a muffled pitch. I hear, but don't hear detail. Two hours of muffled beats and confused looks is me at a show. I'd like to blame it on age, but that's not true. I've never enjoyed most of the complex musical sounds my friends love. I like one tone, high pitch, music. A piano solo, or sax solo. I can hear that... once a number of other sounds are introduced I'm fucked. And that goes for social life as well. I've gotten good at nodding to a conversation I heard none of. Fuck I miss music. I miss it. #losinghearing #canthearyou #punkrockblues (at First Avenue & 7th St Entry) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwylNvLlrE_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=55ov4322tkv5
