Hm, well, I don’t want to sound like someone who’s begging for attention. Those kind of people always kind of annoyed me. Especially since I grew up with one. But I think a lot of the motivation comes from the attention I get. The kudos, likes, and comments. It amazes me every time that someone has read my story and actually likes it!
Growing up, I didn’t really get a lot of praise for what I did. Seemed like even when I tried, it was never good enough to be the one that got praised. There was always someone else that got the attention, even from my parents. re: attention seeking older sister.
That changed when I started writing. People would actually comment on my stories and be excited for them. It made me want to write more, and to get better. Because of that early praise, I have grown to love writing, and love sharing what I create with others. I love to see/hear their reactions to my writing. And I even love it when people are honest and tell me about my issues. I recently found out I have some major problems with commas. XD I apparently was just throwing them around without much rhyme or reason. XD
Now I try to like and comment on as much as I can so that I can hopefully motavate others to keep writing and keep creating as well. XD
V: What do you listen to when you write?
Honestly, it varies.
Sometimes, nothing. Silence. Like right now. I think it may be times when I have too much going on in my head, and I just can’t deal with much more. So the silence helps in getting things out and tidying up everything else.
Sometimes, I like having the TV on in the background. Just any kind of noise works at these times, but nothing too interesting cause then it just become a distraction.
But there are other times that I want music. The type of music varies as well. If I have a scene in my head that was created from a song, that song plays on repeat until the scene is out. Somteimes I’ll play random songs to act as background music if there is nothing satisfactory on TV. Other times I’ll have a set of songs for that story, scene, or character that will play on repeat. For about the last six months I’d been almost exclusivly listening to the Thunderbirds soundtracks (move and TV series). I’ve gone back now and started listening to some of my other music, but I really need to find some new stuff. I hate listening to the radio so I tend to just stick to what is on my iPod yes, I’m a cave man I know and most of that is pretty old.

Okay, this is why I left this one for last. And @braincoins, I figured you’d do this. >_> So, I am going to just throw myself under the bus here. I dug up one of my first long fics I wrote. It is horrible. So, so, so bad. I mean, I seriously had no idea how to write a story, none at all. Not to mention spelling or grammar, that was all foreign to me as well.
So, if anyone should dare. I give you the first chapter to The Lost Armor
under the cut. I don’t want to frighten anyone too badly. Also, this is a Ronin Warriors fanfiction.
The Lost Armor
Part 1

It had been two months sence they defeted Talpa, the Ronins were getting borded. The Roninís have all gone back to a (somewhat) normal life. Mia has taken over her grandfatherís classes at the university. Yuli went to visit his grandparents. Ryo, Sage, Kento, Sai, and Rowen are all going to high school. They still live with Mia though. Every weekend they take turns going home to their families. Kentoís family lives in Yokohama, so he visits them a lot. Sometimes when Sai doesnít go home, Kento can convince him to go to Yokohama and work as a cook in Kentoís parentsí restaurant. Mia has always wanted to host an exchange student. She decided to ask the others what they thought. They all decided it was a good idea. A few weeks later Mia received a phone call. Her application went through and she should expect a female student from America. Everybody was happy, the guys because it is a girl, and Mia so she can finally have somebody to talk to. The next two weeks were havoc. Mia cleaned the spare room. And, with several protests, Ryo and Sage were moved into the spare room. Mia also enrolled her into the same high school as the guys. Finally, everything was ready for her arrival. Mia was standing outside of the gate waiting for the plane. When it landed Mia held up a sign with the name “Katie Suttles”. Through the gate came a girl with long brown hair, and walked toward Mia. Mia introduced herself and then took the *very* tired girl home and told her to get settled in. Luckily the guys were at school. Katie walked into her room, laid down on the bed and went to sleep. An hour later she woke up and at first wondered were she was, and then remembered the 13 hour flight. Katie walked out onto the balcony and looked at the view. ëOut of everybody in Japan I got the person with the biggest house and with the most landí she thought. Just then their was a loud crash. When she turned toward the door a white tiger jumped into the room. Katie screamed and Mia came running into the room. When she saw The tiger she shook her head and scolded him.
Mia: Iím sorry, White Blaze was just eager to meet you.
Katie: Thatís all right, I knew you had a cat. I just wasnít expecting a tiger.
Mia: I didnít say their was a tiger here so nobody world be afraid.
Katie was able to get close enough to pet White Blazeís nozzle. But, by the time she felt comfortable, a door slammed and White Blaze took off.
Mia: The guys must he home.
They went to meet the guys. When they got to the door their was a boy laying on the floor with White Blaze on top of him.
boy: White Blaze, get off of me.
White Blaze finally got off of him and a wet young man stood up.
boy: Hi, you must be Katie. My name is Ryo.
Mia: Where are the others?
Ryo: Theyíre helping Rowen with some books.(Smiling)
Just then four more guys came in each holding, at least, ten books each. Katie walked up to the one having the most trouble, and took half of the books.
boy 2: Thanks.
Ryo and Mia followed Katieís lead and helped the other three. After the books were put down, the one Katie helped, ran right to the kitchen saying something about eating. Another one picked up one of the books, and Ryo and the other two went out to the car to get their own books. Katie walked over to the one with the book.
Katie: Are all these books yours?
boy 3: Huh?
Katie: These books, are they all yours?
boy 3: Oh! Yea they are all mine. You must be Katie, Iím Rowen.
Katie: Why do you need all these books?
Rowen: Iím doing an extra credit term paper for school.
Then their was a crash from the kitchen.
Katie: Whoís in the kitchen
Rowen: That was probably Kento. Heís our resident garbage disposal
Then their was another crash, then Ryo and the other two walked in.
Ryo: Hey, Katie
Katie: Ya!
Ryo: Iíd like you to meet Sai and Sage.
Katie: Nice to meet you
Then Kento poked his head around the corner.
Kento: Hey, Sai, are you fixing supper?
Sai: No, itís Rowenís turn.
Kento: Aw, come on. We donít want Katie to die on her first night.
Sai : I said NO.
Kento and Sai kept fighting.
Sage: Just ignore them, They do it all the time.
Sai finally said he would cook only because it was Katieís first night. After everybody had ate, they all sat in the living room. Everybody was asking Katie questions about herself, school, and her friends. While they were talking, a loud crash was heard from outside. Everybody raced out to see what had happened. what they saw was an army of armored soldiers. Mia grabbed Katie and pulled her inside. Katie was asking questions at 100 mph. After Mia got her settled down she explained everything about the Ronin Warriors. Mia and Katie went to a window to watch the battle outside. Then outside one of the soldiers spoke up
soldier:We have no concern with you. That girl from across the ocean has the lost armor, and our master wants it.
The Ronins all looked at each other and thought the same thing, Katie. A loud scream came from the house. Ryo and Sai ran into the house. Inside were two soldiers. One holding Katie and the other holding Mia. Ryo and Sai fought the two soldiers and defeated them. All the soldiers were defeated and everybody went outside.
Ryo: Does anybody know what they were talking about.
Sage: Yea, How come we’ve never heard of this “lost armor”.
Mia: When the soldiers came into the house they went right to Katie.
Everybody looked at Katie.
Katie: What?
Rowen: Katie, do you have any armor?
Katie: Who me! I’m still not sure what’s going on.
Sai: Maybe she just doesn’t know about the armor.
Mia: That could be.
Katie: Excuse me. Could somebody please tell me what is going on!
Ryo: Katie, those soldiers were looking for you. They said that you have some kind of “lost” armor.
Katie: You mean armor like yours?
Sage: Well we’re not sure, We’ve never heard of this armor before.
Katie: Well, would those Warlords Mia told me about know anything?
Rowen: I don’t know. Even if they did we don’t know how to find them.
Kento: Sorry to interrupt but, is anybody else hungry?
Sai: Kento, we just ate.
Kento: So. You know I get hungry when I fight.
Sai and Kento kept arguing. Everybody desided to call it a night and said goodnight.

The next day the guys didn’t go to school in case something happened. Mia was on the computer all morning trying to find something about this armor. everybody else was outside enjoying the nice day. Out of the woods came the familiar clang from the ancients staff. The Ronins stood in front with Katie behind them. Kayura, Sekhmet, Kale, and Dais stepped out of the woods.
Kayura: Ronins we think we may know what this new armor is.
Sekhmet:When the ancient first created the armors…
Kale: An armor was formed from a small piece of each of the Ronin armors.
Dais: The ancient did not know of this armor. Talpa found out about it from when the nine armors were first combined. Fortunately, he did not live long enough to find it.
Kayura: We believe the armor picked a mortal its self and the mortal assigned a virtue to it.
Kale: We think that the armor stayed with the mortal through that life and into the next without the mortal knowing it.
Dais: We have searched the mortal world to try and find this armor before any one else.
Sekhmet:We believe that the mortal who has the armor is her.(Pointing to Katie)
Katie: Why me?
Kayura: In your previous life you may have been a warrior, we don’t know.
Ryo: How can you tell if she has the armor?
Kayura: The staff is very powerful. It will be able to tell us if she is the one.
Kayura then walked to Katie. She held the staff above her head. Katie covered her face not knowing what to expect. the staff began to glow. Kayura focused all the light on Katie. On her forehead was a symbol, the symbol of Honor. Then Katie was engulfed by the earth. A huge mound was left where she was standing. The Ronins tried to save her but Kayura told them to stop. Then, the mound exploded. When the dust settled everyone was shocked. Mia had come out after hearing the explosion. On top of a pile of rocks stood a warrior clad in armor. The armor was like the Ronins. It was brown, with weapons and a helmet. The armor seemed to be made just for her. She had two katakanas like Ryo but they are placed over each shoulder. The armor stayed for a minuet then disappeared. Katie fell to the ground. Sai was the first to her side followed by the others.
Kayura: She should be all right. I had to force the armor to the surface. It was the only way.
Kale: Torrent, take her into the house and then come back out. Mia, please stay in their with her.
Sai took Katie to her room and went back outside. Mia got her some water and watched over her.
Kayura: The armor you just saw is very powerful.
Kale: The armor can control all five elements of the Earth.
Sekhmet: It also has the power to combine the element into one massive force.
Kale: If this new intity gets that armor, they will be able to control your own powers. You must keep her safe and help her understand the armor and how to use it.
Ryo: Do you know anything about this new evil?
Kayura: He was one of Talpaís enemyís. He was banshed from the Dynesty when Talpa first gained control. I donít know anything about him.
Cale: The only thing we can remember about him is that his name was Warlord Red Wing and he was worse than Talpa. The only reason *he* was kicked out was because Talpa already had control of everybody else in the Dynesty.
Sage: Looks like we have another fight ahead of us.
Kayura: Their is nothing we can do now, It is up to you. If this warlord gets control of the mortal world all hope is lost.
Then Kayura, Dais, Sekhmet, and Kale disappeared. Nothing was said the rest of the night.
