Lost Sands
@shurima-demigod
The Void's presence was nearly touchable in the air here, though it was old, not nearly as powerful as it once was. Adrian's horse was slowly trudging through the sand, the sun beating down on them as they made their way along the treacherous land. He wiped the sweat from his brow and huffed, reaching back to grab at his canteen. The light weight told him that it was nearly empty and with a shake of his head, he gave the reins a soft tug, the dappled horse stopping obediently.
He hopped off, opting to stretch his legs rather than force the poor creature to keep him afloat. Opening up the canteen, he carefully poured the remaining water into his cupped hand and offered it to his steed. Immediately, the horse sucked the liquid down, and he wearily patted it's forehead while searching their immediate area. Nothing but miles of sand and sun. It was hard to pinpoint exactly where the Void was leading him this time.
He couldn't help but wonder if he'd taken a wrong direction, he hadn't seen a living soul for miles, and even the horse was beginning to get ancy. Oh, how embarrassing it would be to die out here under this blistering heat, all due to a simple navigation error! He couldn't even pass his death off as a beast attack, as the Void's influence curdling in his body kept his fellow voidborne at bay. Adrian cursed to himself, he knew he should've packed more water.
Adrian continued to lead his horse on foot, pulling his hood over his features to shield himself from the sun. In the distance, he might've seen something, but the waves of heat and dehydration made it hard to discern reality from fiction. All he knew is that he needed water and a place to rest the horse, and soon.
Blast from the Past from Brasil
I completely forgot to post the brilliant news that in November 2015 Lost Sands and No Added Preservatives were screened at Brasil Stop Motion International Film Festival.
The Festival took place in Recife, Brasil, from 24-28 November 2015.
