Had a neat dream
That Disney announced more details for the Epcot Future World update. I only remember what was for the Imagination Pavilion and that the Land finally was getting attention first.
For Imagination, we had Journey 4.0 with Dreamfinder’s return, an updated Imageworks rebranded as the “Academy Scientifica Lucidus Research Labs” in reference to the comics and return of rainbow tunnel, and in Magic Eye there was a 4D sense experience starring Bing Bong from Inside Out.
I was kinda sad to wake up and realize it was a dream.
Long time, no update!
I feel like Covid really knocked me out of the Disney World fandom and, tbf, a level of cynicism with the Chapek rule and a few Disney Ytbers. I bet my blog isn’t super viewed anymore, but for some folks around that remember me:
- I moved to Los Angeles! (I’m sorry guys, I’m a Disneylander now.)
-I work in TV animation and themed entertainment! I have a few credits in shows and exhibits like Marvel, Studio Smokecreen’s Talon, OmegaMart, The Holocaust Museum, and PBS!
-I volunteered for Defunctland’s VR experience. Mostly America Sings and Alien Encounter. No longer affiliated!
-I mentored under two amazing artists! One was a major location designer for Disney Animation and was the Animation Director for World of Motion and Journey into Imagination! (He now works at Disney Jr.) the other is a major Concept artist for Marvel and Live Action Disney.
-I started animating again for the first time in 8 years and I love it! I’ve missed it so much. Both fan animations and personal project OCs.
-I flew and failed a short series pitch! (It was my first and only try, but I will keep trying! )
I still love EPCOT/vintage Disney Parks and I really missed it here. I may need a bit of time to remember this place, but here’s hoping things do turnaround at the parks. Disneyland has spoiled me a bit too, haha!
Are their Disney IP’s that deserve a ride at Disney Parks?
I want some follower’s input, that may contribute to the future. I want to say thank you in advance to anyone who responds! So:
What Disney IP do you think deserves a Disney ride?
Only criteria would be the IP has never had an actual attraction, it can, however, have a show counterpart (like Hunchback of Notre Dame’s show at DHS) or be a part of a parade (for example Tangled is in the Festival of Fantasy). So long as you can’t sit down in a cart/coaster/doombuggy and ride it, it counts!
I’ll start by saying I wish The Lion King had received some sort of ride. It’s gotten teased with several shows, parades, and it even got 3 fake DVD safari rides! I think that is my top pick.
When I work, I put on Martin’s Vids, but every time I put on The Great Movie Ride Tribute I’m reminded by how much lost potential TCM’s sponsorship was. To their credit, good for them for keeping The Great Movie Ride as the centerpiece of a place called Disney HOLLYWOOD Studios (ex MGM Studios). Also, all of the showrooms remained intact and are still looking fantastic, but when the “refurbishment” was just a spring clean, a queue/end video update with a narrator that talks over the driver, I’m reminded what it could fix.
The Busby Berkeley room hasn’t worked since the 80s, the AA’s are showing their age with few exceptions, and some weird pacing at the end of the ride. (seriously, the past few I’ve been on TGM I’ve missed the Witch because I get put in the back group. I’m pretty sure this is because of the Jewel room?) I have other subjective feelings, but I think only the Wizard of Oz room one is worth noting.
I know I’m a few years late to the game, but TGM is one of my favorite rides and I’ve been burnt up about that ever since.

I will never stop loving that game! It's waaay better than it coulda been being a sequel movie's video game tie in. That was my childhood and I still have it on my little laptop to play.
yo same here!! i remember thinking how cool it was that it uses characters from the live action movies but the tone and artstyle of the animated ones? its a cool take on the source material, which is obviously rare in licensed games
i kinda wish it had more recognition, but then my blog’s theming wouldnt be so unique lol
LostCOT blog's main blog here, wonderful Figment artwork and also CAN I GUSH ABOUT YOUR PUPPIES TO THE RESCUE ODDBALL AS YOUR ICON?!

Hey guys, I wanted to say I’ve just gotten a Ko-fi page!
A lot of you know that I’m a recent graduate and a freelance illustrator, and I’ve worked for places like Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and National Geographic for Kids (does that technically make me a part of the Disney family now???) I’ve even started my own art blog you can find here!
It’s atypical of me to speak publicly my personal business, but I am currently hitting a trough in my life that I’ve been trying to fill with art, including Disney fanart for this blog because I love the massive amount of support I have here. It’s been even better since now I have a significant amount of free time since I’ve graduated to do more art. I have some big plans to do some fun art related Disney Park things in the future!
However, this trough has been effecting me financially too. My ko-fi isn’t just for my Disney fanart, but for my artwork in general. You could argue that my style still looks pretty close to Disney when it comes down to it, haha! But I certainly INTEND to continue up the Disney World art posts I’ve been doing recently and have a few more waiting in the wings to post. I have over 1k followers now, and I want to impress you guys! (maybe I also want some of my personal art to receive feedback too!)
Thank you for reading, and I am very grateful to any small donations for me to continue doing illustration work for you guys.
