Shut sighed, watching the koi swim in the pond. Really, it was surprising to him, how much of what he now called home was here. Though, it did all feel the same. There were too many people who were like him, really. He didn’t quite get it yet, not even having been here a full month, and already he had met so many like him.

Standing, he stretched, feeling like maybe finding something to do would help. Turning to leave, he bumped into someone. The faint sound of something clattering meant he probably dropped his phone… again. He still wasn’t used to those.

“Sorry, nomi…” He apologized, tilting his head to look the other in the eye.

The Star Trail at dusk was the ideal visit for at least one person wandering the crowd. Lit by both streetlights and lamps within the stalls, it chased away the stars as they came into view, but eased the heat hanging around all the cooking equipment and the bustling people passing through.

Dune had long located food he was familiar with and food he’d found in the Apostles’ archives, welcome options away from the Earth fare he accepted at best. The foods lined up from other worlds, even if entirely unfamiliar, felt like a respite. As it was, these circumstances lined up one of the most pleasant moods possible in the city. When he could get away, he did.

Parting from a small dish of a diced creature he’d never heard of, he continued on his way to another unfamiliar stand. A boy was already there, and Dune peered around him, eyes scanning the generous display. The impression was that the options weren't unusual, but they were prepared differently somehow. 

“Are you familiar with this?” he asked, stepping to the stranger’s side properly. Every stall belonged to someone’s memory, and every stall probably had a regular that had nothing to do with it.

   you’re not sure what it is about this place, but they seem to have confused you for one of their nobles. which is... awkward, considering you don’t know any of these people and your ‘father’ is nowhere to be seen, despite all their mentions of him. ( would he even be your father anyways? or just another stranger filling a role? ) they refuse to listen to you when you protest otherwise, too, simply laughing at your ‘active imagination’. thankfully, a childhood with wolt and lilina has taught you well-- finding a large enough crack in the mansion’s courtyard wall to slip through had been easy, and you found yourself free once more.

   unfortunately, it seems your absence has been very much noted. the moment you’d stepped into eriol’s marketplace, you’d caught sight of knights bearing that estate’s crest. even more unfortunately for you, your hurry to escape their line of sight -- you really hate your family’s red hair right about now -- has caused you to smack into someone. 

“sorry, sorry--” you briefly glance back over your shoulder, hoping they haven’t noticed you yet. “are you alright?”

“ spread your feet a bit. raise your hand on the handle a little bit higher. eyes straight, and keep to your target. sides, up and then back down. “ while a novel task, percival found himself  each day, his hands more full with those who would want to learn how to use a weapon under his teaching, and to be honest, he was always on fence about it. the uneasiness in his gut from the stalemate between the four countries made him realize and understand that teaching these people to defend themselves was unfortunately the only thing he could offer onto them in trying times. while he wouldn’t force those who couldn’t fight to do so.. a lot of lives were on the line and they needed the protection at hand. 

♕ - ; he had been handed off one of the younger knights to train.. a look of surprise on his face at the familiar young boy whom had been put under his care. he knew he had a strong, devote heart, so training him would be easy. for a kingdom that devout itself to magic so heavily, it was no surprise there were few who could properly use a sword. and so that’s why he was here. to ensure that anyone who would fight could do so effectively to keep themselves safe. 

“ stay focused. don’t let your stance waver or you’ll find yourself at the end of cold steel. “

The first thing Aysha notices when she wakes up from her nap, is that the sofa seems a lot bigger than she remembers. The second thing she notices, is that her arms are now black furry legs. And that’s when she realizes that she’s now a fox. 

Immediately she springs up with a loud squeal, scurrying lap after excited lap around the living room unable to contain the ecstatic energy inside her. 

That is until, with a poof of white smoke, she transforms back into her human form. She is, admittedly a bit disappointed that the transformation is over so soon. But more than that, she’s struck with the overwhelming desire to show someone, anyone her newly unlocked power. 

She flips through her contacts before landing on Euden’s number.

Euden eyes seem to sparkle when Lucifer hands him a feather, its so soft and perfect he almost can’t believe it. It reminds him a bit of a Light Dragon’s feather and he smiles brightly at Lucifer. “No! I love it, its so beautiful.” That does lead to Euden also asking about Lucifer’s sudden wings. “Did you always have wings Lucifer? I didn’t see them before but they remind me a lot of wings some dragons have back home!”

“You are not incorrect. I did not have my wings when we first met. But by some miracle, they were returned to me through a gift. I suspect that it is only temporary... It is likely that you will not see them again when we next meet.”

He does smile, though, when Euden says his plume is beautiful. Lucifer is not one to take pride in his appearance, but praise from one he has befriended always makes him happy. 

“Hm... That’s interesting. I am no dragon. Do the dragons of your world resemble angels?”

    A heavy sigh escaped from Ratha as he lay there, curled up in a back alley where he was safe and hidden from the eyes of the locals. He’d decided to take a quick power nap after flying around all day. He could smell the scent of human steadily getting closer to his location but he chose not to pay any attention to it for now.

♕ - ; in hopes of scoping out talent in some of the individuals in this city, percival had his eye caught at the sight of a young boy with a sword, standing outside what looked to be an orphanage. the idea of children having lost their parents twinges something in his chest and he takes a moment to breathe and steady himself, curious of the rather young sword fighter guarding the front gate. while approaching, he makes his intent clear in the way he calms his body movements he’s not here for anything pertaining to physical violence. 

“ at what age did you start using a sword? taking on the task of protecting those with no one left to protect them is quite the weight for someone of your age. “
