     Choppy, short hair clings to freckled skin, plastered down by beads of sweat that continually form and roll down beyond the black-and-red collar of her uniform. Her arms circle the torso of the other, holding them tight to her chest, which heaves with uneven breaths. Rubble surrounds them. She can’t believe they weren’t crushed. 

          WELL, NOT COMPLETELY. 

     “Naki… Naki, YOUR LEGS.” They’re buried under copious amounts of stone and debris. Fuck, if she hadn’t tackled him out of the way like she had… SHE DOESN’T WANT TO THINK ABOUT IT. “What do we do? I don’t know it it’s safe to dig them out - THIS WHOLE THING COULD COLLAPSE ON US.”

❝ what is that smell? ❞

“Oh, that? I was in the garden with Yu. I have my own little flower garden. I was just tending to some of them and showing Yu them.

Alma smiles, remembering the conversation he had had with Kanda.

“Yu said my flowers smelled stupid. But I think he liked them. I swear I saw him smile after smelling the one! You can come see them if you want. I can show you them and tell you all about them! I don’t have the flowers I want though... those only grow in ponds. But I still have fun growing the ones I can!”

🚔 - Have they ever broken the law?

He has. On missions he always wants to stay by Kanda’s side and will break any law to do that. Kanda frequently breaks some himself, so Alma sometimes joins in while trying to stop him.

👶 - As a kid, what were they like?

Technically, him (And Kanda) are still kids age-wise. But when he was in the lab, he was lonely and always wanted to make friends. Not much different from how he is now.

💀 - What are they afraid of?

Alma is afraid of a lot of things. He’s afraid of doctors for one. It took a LOT of help from Kanda to get him to a check-up by Komui, and now he only ever goes to Komui. Speaking of Kanda, he’s afraid of losing him. Or anyone he knows really. He grows attached to others quite easily. Ever since the incident with Kanda almost being put to sleep as a kid, he’s been terrified his friends will be deemed useless by the Order and have that happen to them.

🔎 - Random detail about them (3)

1. Alma loves to learn and read. His favorite stories are fairy tales since they always have happy endings.

2. Alma has a HUGE appetite. Add that with him liking almost any food and... well, let’s just say him and Allen have eating contests that others give up on watching after the 20th plate full of food be devoured.

3. Kanda has a set schedule every day. Alma has memorized that schedule perfectly and always tries to be around Kanda and force him to be friendly or do things he doesn’t want to. Especially at mealtimes. He’s always trying to sneak something in Kanda’s Soba and get others to sit with them. Lavi is usually the one who sits with them, so you can imagine how well that goes.

This whole ordeal had been turning out to be a whole lot of nothing. Sabine sighs, idly flicking the ash off the end of her cigarette as she looks out over the mostly empty street. This town sure did seem to shut down when the sun set, was it always like this or had something changed recently?

Another loner in the night catches her attention, a young man by the looks of it. Hell it wouldn’t hurt to ask a few more questions, seeing as neither she nor the finders could find any clue pointing to innocence or Akuma. Grinding her smoke out on the street, Sabine approaches the other, making no real effort to sneak or hide; this was just supposed to be friendly conversation after all.
