Is this the “imagine how would Kate Winslet’s husband must feel after he dies and discovers his wife of 70+ years has reunited with the guy she fucked once on a boat?” But inversed?
I didn't know that was a thing but holy shit 😅😅😅
1. Touché
2. Yeah 😕 cuz I mean, imagine being Costia and dying to protect the woman you love. Probably endured unfathomable torture before being beheaded (knowing Nia, I'm assuming not quickly either) and dying, knowing you're keeping your love safe. Making peace with your death because it means she can go on with her fight.
And then a loudmouth, pushy ass blonde with a supposedly "killer rack" (damn Lexa you think loud 🤨) falls from the fuckin sky and within like,,, 2 weeks she has the love of your own life changing entire Heda-standard protocols and undoing a century's worth of traditions.
No but seriously tho, obviously just because Costia died doesn't mean I actually believe Lexa ever stopped loving her. It's just not how Lexa was. And I don't think Clarke could have taken Costia's space in Lexa's heart, but rather she found her own space that was waiting for her all along. She just fit in ways Costia never could, but that didn't diminish what they had. I would assume heavenly-Costia would be overjoyed for Lexa knowing that she had, even begrudgingly at moments, let her walls down and allowed her heart to open and grow large enough to hold that much love. First love and greatest love. Two defining things. To not just broad over the loss of her and their relationship, but to let Clarke in and love her as well. More even than she let herself love Costia in some ways. Just because Lexa was the love her Costia's life doesn't mean she was the love of Lexa's, and given the bits we know, wouldn't Costia want Lexa to find that? Considering she had enough love and devotion to accept her fate and sacrifice for Lexa, it stands to reason that she'd ultimately only want Lexa to find whatever moments of happiness she could.
But still man.
A tiny part of her had to have been like "😒 well alright then"
Clan Building // aerial yoga
performance art in general is actually very popular among grounders, delfiyon people are known for their aerial yoga. it’s something they do recreationally as well as for the entertainment of others. it’s commonly performed in delfiyon but during events held in polis or really any other clans territory delfiyon people are more than happy to perform and unlike yujleda and their fire shows they are plenty willing to teach people from other clans their abilities.
they will hang their hammocks from tall trees, ruins or whatever else they have given the circumstances as their aren’t many trees growing through the cement floors of polis. most often they use red hammocks but they aren’t picky over colour. opposite to yujleda’s fire shows which are accompanied by loud music they perform in silence. the only sound you can hear is the crowd who usually keep a respectful silence aside from natural reactions to the art.
being that aerial yoga is incredibly popular in delfiyon culture the vast majority of their population are well trained in the art. most learn the skill as children and only get better with age. that said it’s quite impressive how skilled the children are even at a young age. traveling through delfiyon territory at a peaceful time you’ll see groups of grounders practicing for pure recreational purposes, a few people will watch but it’s so common that the recreational version is nothing special.
The 100 moodboards: Lexa x Costia
“Her name was Costia”

Thinking about 16-18 year old Lexa waking up at the brink of morning after barely sleeping through the night with worry about Costia's where abouts just to find a wodden box on her bed and opening it, thinking is something either Titus or Anya received in her behalf and left for her, only to open it and see Costia's severed head.... Can you imagine the blood curdling scream she must have let out, falling to her knees crying for her dead lover, Anya bursting through the doors ready to fight only to see the girl she helped raise on the floor letting out broken sobs and desperate pleas for it to be a nightmare made by a worried mind and Anya quickly holds her, rocking her back and forth in an attempt to calm her.
And after that Lexa going to war with Azgeda just to get there and have to push the pain and heartbreak aside just so she can let Nia join the coalition, once again putting the needs of her people above her love for this girl who protected her until her last breath... She suffered so much. All the time.
Do you think that if Costia were still alive when the 100 fell down to earth, do you think Lexa would still have fallen for Clarke?
Hmm this is a very good question. I think that Lexa would have fallen for Clarke no matter what. I really think that what Lexa had with Costia was puppy love. A young, innocent, and naive kind of love.
When the sky met the ground their paths were meant to cross.
I think it probably would have caught Lexa and Clarke by surprise. From working together for their people. Spending time in war meetings and finding out that even when they had their differences, there was something that bounded them - their leadership position and the weight they had to carry. Lexa would be spending a lot of time with Clarke versus Costia. Lexa would totally connect with Clarke because of their burden. Clarke challenges Heda every step of the way, and Lexa meets finally her equal in all aspects of life. Earning her respect and something else.
Costia would try to offer Lexa her support but she doesn’t get it. She doesn’t connect with Lexa, not like Clarke does. And so, Lexa would start to find out that she feels for Clarke deeply. Lexa has feelings for Clarke but she will fight them. She will break her own heart before hurting Costia. Yet Costia knows, she knows Lexa since they were young and she knows she lost her. She never had her to begin with.
Clarke would see how special Lexa is and her love for ALL her people is what makes her a great leader. Clarke’s heart would skip a beat every time Lexa gave her one of her shy smiles, or whenever they just talked about everything but the war brewing. Clarke knows that Lexa is taken, she won’t ever step on Costia’s turf but it’s just impossible to stop the butterflies when she’s alone with Lexa, planning the next strategy to defeat their common enemy. Clarke can’t stop the bitterness of knowing that Costia is the one who gets to see Lexa and not Heda, it makes her feel conflicted. Yet, when green meets blue, it’s like the rest of the world ceases to exist and it’s just them.
It just happens. It was inevitable. All they have to do now is surrender.

There was no way to know how long she had been knocked out cold or what had happened to her. But she seemed relatively unharmed.
She sat there in shock, trying to gather her bearings so she could stand and retrace her steps back to the docks. She felt the panic swell as she searched for her friends, calling their names, but the alley was empty.
All of a sudden, there was a pull in her mind and Lexa was back at the Farmers’ Market. She could see the overturned stands and ruined paintings through the sodden mesh. But the water looked odd to her. Bluer than she recalled. It took her a moment to realize that she wasn’t physically at the docks but seeing everything through someone else’s eyes.
