I love the idea of canon Clexa just having a normal conversation and Clarke says something endearing and makes Lexa smile. Clarke just goes “bunny teeth!” and Lexa immediately scowls 😂

I rewatched Portrait of a Lady On Fire last night and that combined with this made me think of Lexa finding one of Clarke's sketchbooks and finding a bunch of sketches of Lexa. Many regal, many austere, all rigid jaw and clamped lips, obviously drawn from moments of herself in Heda mode.

But oh. Then tucked just-so in the very back are the ones of Lexa drawn from their quiet moments together. Afternoons stolen and candlelit nights in bed. Hair braided, hair down, dressed in loose shorts or nothing but bed sheets. Renditions of Lexa that only come out when it's just them, alone. Sketches of her smile in all different forms; shy, crooked, exasperated. Small. Lustful. Ones where her lips are just parted, eyes on the artist. Always on the artist. Mouth always framing those two little bits of teeth that insist on making themselves known as they escape the fullness of Lexa's lips.

Lexa feeling her face warm because her first instinct is to feel embarrassed. Seeing the bunny teeth over and over, those old fears of not being taken seriously.

But then the feeling changes the longer she stares at all those renditions of herself, seen and portrayed through the eyes of her lover. Because she doesn't look silly or foolish in them when she easily looks and sees. She just seems... happy. Younger. Lighter, in these little glimpses into a version of herself than she never sees in the cracked mirror in her quarter's bathroom, with her bunny teeth and bright eyes that belong to Clarke, and Clarke alone.
