Lost in the City Lights

Hey internet void,

Sometimes, I feel like a ghost haunting the city streets, a shadow lost in the neon glow. It’s like the song “Boston” by Augustana is playing on repeat in my head, echoing the loneliness and longing.

I see people rushing past, their faces illuminated by the city lights, each one carrying their own story, their own version of lost and found. And here I am, a spectator in my own life, watching the world go by without truly connecting.

There's a part of me that craves escape, a desire to hit the road and start over, to become a nameless face in a crowd. But another part knows that running away isn't the answer.

I'm searching for something, a connection, a purpose. Maybe it's in the heart of this bustling city, waiting to be discovered. Or perhaps it's within myself, a journey of self-discovery that starts with facing the shadows.

Either way, I'm holding onto hope, like a flickering flame in the night. A hope that one day, I’ll find my place in this world, and the loneliness will fade into the background.
