Official Design for Lost Sans
Hey guys! I’m in a bit of a rush, so I’m going to type this as quickly as I can.
This here:
Is Lost Sans from my AU LostTale. This is his new design and I’ll be describing both sides of the image. Let’s start with the Left half first:
Some things I changed from the original design that I first came up with months and months ago is firstly his clothing. Instead of this goopy jacket being black and a white hood, its all black now with the hood blending in with the rest of his attire.
Next is his body. On his face you’ll see three cracks, two above his left eye and one on the bottom right side of his face.
Now before people start screaming that I’m making him a Gaster rip off, just let me explain my thoughts of why I think Gaster and Sans have these cracks on their bones
*Now note this is just a headcannon type theory and is pure speculation for this au *
The reason I give Sans cracks in his skeletal structure is because, in that freak accident, he technically died. Is dying. The only thing holding him together is the fact he’s caught in a pocket/glitch in between time and space(the void). These cracks in him are his body trying to break away and turn to dust. The ones on his face aren’t the only ones he has. He also has two on his ribcage that can’t be seen due to the jacket/goop. These aren’t painless cracks either. They are painful and constant.
Those are all the major changes I made there.
Now, onto the second which I thought of while making this drawing:
This is a little thing I thought of when thinking back to dialogue that one of the Gaster followers said
“Its rude to talk about someone who’s listening”
Meaning Gaster could hear them.
This got me thinking. I don’t think that they could leave the void..not in a physical sense.. But phantomly speaking.
One theory I’ve always had about Gaster is that he’s, to make it short and simple “everywhere, yet no where”.
And to tie onto that, I’m still going about this as their life still being a sort of game with coding and programming. The void, as a headcannon I have, is simply an Error in the coding. Something that shouldn’t exist, but it does. So..I think that if sans was ‘out’ of the void, He would be a little glitched. I also thought since he can’t be a physical manifestation, he would be more translucent.
Again these are all only headcannons that I’m using in my au. I’m not a theorizer and I simply only have speculation with no proof.
Well that’s all I have to say right now. Sometime today while I’m working on part 4 of LostTale, I’ll be sketching some ideas for illustrations of Lost Sans.
