Post 2 and Day 2 of this new project. I decided yesterday that this new endeavor needed to be punctuated by a few key elements of any good beginning and I had a day off today so it worked out quite well. I woke up, ran to the store for Red Bull, as I have a hopeless addiction and was out, got some breakfast that didn't involve caffeine and vitamin B, and started to clean my room. So yeah, clean sheets on the bed, clean floors, clothes folded and put away, laundry done, shoes lined up nicely and things organized in general. Big step for me, not that I live in filth but I do tend to live in clutter. Clutter doesn't bother me much but I do find that a ritual cleansing every now and then feels greatly rejuvenating. The other parallel goal is to get back in the gym consistently. I probably average about 3 workouts a week but I go very sporadically. Getting back to my 6 days a week routine seems crucial to getting my head on straight again.
Enough of that, I wanted to talk about the creation of this daily stream. I set the whole thing up yesterday and when Tumblr asked what I wanted to call it I started to come up with some clever name... And when "Lost Until Found" suddenly popped into my head I was thrilled. I pecked it into the appropriate text box with one hand as I was holding a handful of almonds. But alas, it was not meant to be. The name was taken. So kudos to you, owner of lostuntilfound.tumblr.com. One of those moments that makes you wonder if you really came up with that on your own or if it is snuck its way into your brain from the lyrics of a Rhianna song you heard one time or if perhaps I once visited the site to reblog a picture of a cute cat. Impossible to know but it did lead to the current title, Fate and Chlorine. This comes from a poem I wrote more than 10 years ago. (A very long and involved story which I am sure I will tell at some point) Speaking of decades... The invites and notifications for my 10 year high school reunion have been sprouting on Facebook recently. Thats right, folks at home, I'm almost 28 and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Now perhaps, you are beginning to see the need for this project.
