Because I felt like it //: Fiona, Leo and _____
Leo’s supervision was definitely lacking, making it easy for Fiona to snatch the little boy from his uncle. The blonde had simply peeked around the corner of the room where Kevin had been watching the child and ghosted herself next to Leo when she was sure Spencer’s brother was fixated on something else. The kidnapping hadn’t been premeditated by any means, a definite change from Fiona’s usual method. She grasped the toddler under the armpits and then ghosted herself and her kidnappee to the basement, plopping the boy down on the concrete ground in front of her.
Leo was clearly disoriented; he shifted unsettled on the floor and whimpered. Fiona looked down at him and moved in to a crouch, “Don’t worry sweetie. I’m playing a little game with your Mommy and Daddy, it’s a little like hide and seek. You like games right, Leo?” the four year old nodded, but his eyes were half squinting, partially from the ill lit room, but mostly because he was still very unsure of this woman who had never seen before. Fiona recognized this and even though she wasn’t the traditional babysitter she understood the importance of making at least a small connection with the child.
“You can call me Aunty Fiona.”
“Why,” Leo looked up at her innocently curious.
Fiona didn’t understand why he was questioning her,”…Because I’m your aunty.”
“But, w-why?” Whatever happened to ignorant brats, Fiona thought at the reprise of the original question.
“Because I am,” the blonde stated sharply.
“…Wh-” She cut him off from saying the whole word,
“Let’s not kid…” Fiona didn’t give the boy another moment to continue; swiftly she picked him up off the ground. “God, kid,” she muttered as she rested the boy on her hip, “Lay off the happy meals.”
Fiona heard a foot step behind her, and she suddenly became aware of a pair of eyes watching her. Still focusing on the little boy she raised her voice high enough for the onlooker to hear, “Oh, no. Are you gonna tell on me?” She spoke coyly, but didn’t forget to embellish her statement with as much sarcasm as possible. Fiona didn’t care whether they told, after all that was rather the point of the kidnapping.
