“...so. Sara, huh? How does that go?”
@datavampire
This was getting out of hand--it was supposed to be a simple get in, get out robbery but Leonard hadn’t figured in quite how advanced this time period really was with it’s technology. Security systems were entirely independent of the building and it’s extensive branches were everywhere. Including inside the guards themselves apparently. Because the moment Leonard decided to start taking out guards the more ramped up the security detail got. It was as if in systematic increments as well. First being only a couple more guards were called in, next thing he knew the whole floor was flooded with more heavily armored guards than he could keep track of.
However it was the other thing he started noticing that really caught his attention. There were more bodies of guards on the floor than just those he’s been taking out and safes opened that he hadn’t even gotten to yet. Someone else is here and he could feel it in his gut that things were about to get much worse than they already were.
Because if there were another criminal or thief in this building, on this very floor with him right now, then it wasn’t just a battle against the seemingly endless supply of high tech and modified guards--no, it was against them and another third party. And as much as Leonard already wasn’t liking his odds, those variables just made things even worse.
Oh, but when he ran into that other criminal--his luck must have truly bottomed out.
“What the hell are you doing here?” He hissed accusingly from across the room. Someone has got to be laughing about this somewhere. Of course he’d run into that same idiot he’d first met on the roof of Invisible Inc’s old headquarters.
The coldgun in his hands made a soft pitched noise as he armed it to fire, because so help him god, he will kill this idiot of they try and get in his way as well. Totally disregarding the small army of guards in high alert and actively looking for the two of them aside, he was more than ready to take the shot to end this miserable annoyance’s life. They’ve only seen each other twice and it’s already been two times too many for Leonard’s liking.
“You better give me a damn good reason not to kill you right now.”

“Alright, Gideon, where have you put us this time?”
A disembodied female voice happily replied, “The year 2074, the beginning years of the AI employment and a technological enhancement implants utopia. Captain Rip has requested that you retrieve something from this time period.”
The man tilted his head thoughtfully. “You mean steal it. Alright, fine. Where am I headed?”
The Waverider had dropped him off at the roof of a building. An unimpressive thing that looked just as standard as any other building in the time period. Leonard was unimpressed to say the least and more than a little unamused. “This is where I’m stealing from?”
Gideon’s voice once again chimed in promptly over his comms, “Yes. This is the headquarters to an underground organization known as Invisible Inc.” Leonard sneered a bit, glancing about. “Doesn’t seem very invisible to me. What am I dealing with here?”
“I believe they were thieves as well, specializing in stealth and taking anything and everything they needed in terms of information and resources. Not much is known about them, but they employ the use what we require. An AI known to them as Incognita.”
This was beginning to sound more like running an errand to him and less like a timeline disrupting cataclysmic event. “And why the hell do I need to steal another AI?”
“Because, Mr. Snart, she potentially overtakes the entirety of their version of the internet and destroys a majority of humanity all on her own.” The thief casually began sliding on his gloves as he mentally prepared a plan to break in. “Great. And here I thought this sort of thing only happened in movies.”
The man sighed before continuing. “First of all, Gideon, an AI can’t do anything ‘all on their own’, she must have had help so my guess is these idiots don’t know what she’s planning. The question now is how difficult it’s going to be to make them separate with her and I get the feeling that I’ve got my work cut out for me.”
The criminal primed his cold gun as he headed towards the roof top door. “...let’s get this over with.”
