How do we represent our memories?
"No Paradise" invites viewers to immerse themselves in an oppressive trip. Sounds are suspended in an atmosphere outside of time where it is not possible to establish if events have occurred or are about to happen, if we walk a path imagined or just about a vague attempt to recover what is gone. The artist’s own field recordings have been re-elaborated by the sound artist Thierry Massard for the construction of the soundtrack.
Laura Focarazzo is a video artist and independent curator. She lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Her works include experimental films and videos as well as curatorial works. Graduated in Graphic Design at the University of Buenos Aires in 1991, Laura Focarazzo also completed film courses and workshops with prestigious filmmakers of the local and international scene during last years. Sofia Caetano was born in 1987, in Ponta Delgada – in the Portuguese paradisiac Azores islands. After getting her BFA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon, Sofia studied Directing at RESTART and Photography at the Portuguese Institute of Photography. Caetano interned as a photojournalist at VISÃO magazine before moving to the U.S.A., to get her MFA in Media Art from Emerson College. Sofia is currently writing her first feature film, The Happiest Man, and teaching Film production at Emerson College. Caetano is the co-founder of The Spectacular House, a Media Art production house based in Boston.

Avigail Gutfeld is an Israeli Brooklyn-based artist, production designer, cellist, and actress. She graduated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the department of General and Comparative Literature and participated in the Tel Aviv University Honor Roll Program in Design for Stage, Film, and TV. Avigail's works deal with the individual's social, historical and physical memories, as well as with trauma, and the body as a traumatic entity.

Told through the perspective of a female farmer in the 1940s, the film questions the distance that modern society has from the earth and how that relationship informs daily life.
Linda Fenstermaker is an experimental filmmaker, whose work uses the female form to address issues of contemporary representation. She is interested in the intersections of landscape and film, shooting primarily on 16mm and Super 8mm film formats. She lives in Seattle, Washington, where she works on a farm and continues her filmmaking.

Daphna Mero is a film director, choreographer and a professional dancer who splits her time between New York and Jerusalem. She holds a B.Dance from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, a film diploma from Minshar for Art, Tel-Aviv and MFA in Film/Video from MassArt, Boston.
Jenny Plante is a filmmaker based out of Rhode Island. She has a BA in film production from Keene State College and an MFA in film/video production from Massachusetts College of Art. Currently Heidi is based in Connecticut, where she is working on opening an artist residency for dancers.

That same year, her one-act play "Every Third Thought" premiered at the Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival. Boylan has since directed workshops of new plays and readings of old plays, and was awarded the TV drama spec award at the 2004 Austin Film Festival with her SIX FEET UNDER spec script "The Strike." Christine is represented by Art/Work Entertainment and WME.
