Un homme de la tribu Lotha (Nagaland). Les Lothas célèbrent  Tokhu Emong en novembre, et tout le village participe à la célébration. Chaque ménage prépare à boire et à manger pour la fête. Les amis, les familles voisines sont invités à la maison de l'autre et cela continue pendant 9 jours. Les principales caractéristiques de la fête sont les chansons communautaires, les danses, les jeux... Tout le monde s’échange beaucoup d'amour, comme le chantait si bien Led Zeppelin : "Whole Lotta Love"

*********************** A man of the Lotha tribe (Nagaland). The Lothas celebrate Tokhu Emong in November, and the entire Village takes part in the celebration. Every household have food and drinks prepared for the feast. Friends, families neighbors are invited to each other’s house and this continues for 9 days. The main features of the feast are community songs, dances, feast, fun and frolic... Everyone exchanges a lot of love, as Led Zeppelin sang so well: "Whole Lotta Love"

Warm "Tokhü Emong' greetings to lotha friends all across the globe. Tokhu Emong is a festival celebrated by the Lotha nagas. The Lothas are one of the major tribes in Nagaland. It is also called post harvest festival. Tokhu means going out in groups from house to house, taking food and drinks. Emomg means the Halt on the appointed time. The people rejuvenate themselves after a tremendous hard work on the fields and celebrate this post harvesting festival by making merry and rejoicing. Tokhu Emong is celebrated in the first week of November every year and it lasts for 9 days.This festival is associated with the harvesting of crops.It is also accompanied by folk dances and singing of old folk songs. It is a festival enjoyed by both the young and the old, praising the God's for their abundant blessings. Tokhu Emong is also a celebration about brotherhood, forgiveness and oneness. It is celebrated through sharing of food, gifts, folklore narration and a sumptuous community feast.
