January Wrap Up

Considering for this year, I don't actually have a reading goal and instead just want to read books I enjoy. I'm quite content with what I read this month, it wasn't much but it was books I enjoyed. Plus seeing these stats is very interesting for me as it shows my reading patterns. Hopefully I'll finish False Gods by next month... Liking the book but it is taking me a while.

March Reading Wrap Up

Well, feels like March has only just began and here it is ending. Surprisingly good reading month for me honestly! Lot of different genres of books I read, but leaned a lot more on manga and graphic novels as I have been stressed about coursework and life. I have to admit, I am very proud of the fact I had managed my goal of reading daily almost, which does make me smile as I did want to get into reading more often. I'm not sure yet if I am passing my other goal of reading more books I enjoy? But can't have everything! Favourite this month was Guillotine, it just ugh it makes my skin crawl remembering that book in all the ways you want a horror book to be like . Least favourite was Vampire Knight, I don't know why I keep forcing myself to read that series... I really need to just give it up at this point.

Little Nightmares: The Lonely ones by E.C. Myers

Reminder this is not an insult to you if you enjoyed the story. Reminder this review is for the readers, not the author or the author's friends. I am just speaking on how I did not enjoy this book as a fan of this game series.

If this wasn’t called Little Nightmares, I would assume it’s an entirely different franchise. I was really disappointed.

This fails to grasp the feeling of little nightmares, and somehow the ending just made me annoyed as it so not what this series has been for so long. I understand it’s translating a world mainly set in games but this failed to get the feeling of a little guy in a world not meant for them. I didn't even get a feeling for this world.

I’m gonna call this my most disappointing book I’ve read all year and my expectations weren’t high as I was worried from the start about the book just being another way to fix holes in the third game's story... but it didn't even do that in my eyes.
