Imagine: Azula admitting that she cares about you

Everything was silent after the battle. All of you sat there, tired and a little moody. Ty Lee not far from you lowly spoke to Mai, encouraging you to pipe up as well. After all, there was something in your mind.

“Azula” You called the princess, who replied with a mindless hum. “Why did you do that?”

“I did a lot of things, Y/N” She muttered, although finally turning her head to you. “You’ll have to be a little more specific”

“You saved me, you didn’t need to do that”

“I know, you’re capable of saving yourself and all that”

When she carelessly waved her hand in the air, you thought she was being her usual self. But there was something off, like the fact that she wouldn’t hold your gaze.

“What I meant is… you did it anyway, even putting yourself at risk of being hurt”

Azula let out a dramatic sigh, but her eyes fell on her friends to make sure they weren’t listening to the conversation. Nonetheless, she now remained quiet.

“If I didn’t know any better, I would say you care about me” You teased her, successfully getting her to talk.

“Maybe I do care about you” She bitterly replied. Her whole demeanor and body language screamed exasperation. “It’s not like it’s a crime or anything, you know?”

You laughed a little, looking at her in the hopes that she locked eyes. When she did, fed up with your staring, you smirked.

“Oh, shut up” Azula rolled her eyes. “You adore me anyway”

“Not really” You joked, sighing yourself to sound dramatic. “I kind of hate you”

She glared daggers at you, but her expression softened a little when she saw your grin. In the end, she chuckled even if shaking her head at you.

Hey, ATLA mutual! 😄 I’m so glad that some other blog writes for it and loves the fandom as much as I do. Hopefully I chose the right character for you and you love this. Ace, you’re one of the first imagines blog I truly fell in love with and I have admired you ever since. s/o: carol danvers and you were introduced after your sister joined the air force. she knew that the two of you would hit it off, and you sure did. the first time you met was at the bar and after carol had a few drinks and some wonderful talks, she got up on stage and dedicated a song to you. after that, you two spent most of your free time together doing the things you loved and your relationship blossomed from there.

enemy: the un*ted st*tes g*vernment was not your favorite organization to begin with. you were worried about maria and carol from the beginning, but once carol had crashed you were completely done with them. you wanted your sister to stop, but you knew that she loved what she did and they both knew the dangers. it didn’t stop you from feeling hurt, though. eventually you did decide that if you want something done right, you’d have to do it yourself and helped maria start up SWORD.

best friend: nick fury and monica rambeau were your best friends. monica was always your number one because she was your niece and you took care of her all the time while her mom was away (and you always had a blast). nick ended up becoming an ally and friend when you and maria began your journey building SWORD. and of course, you were encouraging of monica’s dream to be an astronaut, and so proud when she achieved it.

sibling: maria rambeau was your sister and one of the greatest you could ever ask for. she looked out for you no matter what and you’d always do the same. you were always impressed with her determination and hard work, especially how it never slowed her down when caring for monica or hanging out with you and carol.

You spot the familiar mess of dark hair and gleam of intelligent green eyes across the school courtyard and, side-stepping the conversation and clutching your shoulder bag, you begin to hurry toward him.

“Percy!” You call.

As you expect, he casts a panicked look over his shoulder and starts to quicken his pace. You watch in dismay as he slings an arm around Grover and ducks around the corner of the school building.

Rachel steps up behind you, having followed from the prior conversation. She watches your face fall and says, “Are you alright?”

“No.” You respond truthfully. It hurts to admit. “Percy’s avoiding me.”

“He’s in my third period class. Study line.” Rachel offers. “We can walk together.”

Percy Jackson stops short when he sees Rachel and you standing by his World History doorway.

He can’t miss this class though. He can’t turn and run like he has been doing for the past week.

Rachel ducks into class. You approach Percy and he notes the stubborn set of your jaw, the determined glint in your eye. He lowers his gaze and doesn’t meet your eyes.

You’re short, abrupt: “Why are you avoiding me?”

“I’m trying to protect you.”

“Why?” You ask. The demand, the need for an answer is clear. “There’s nothing to protect me from, Percy.”

Percy almost laughs. He could list hundreds of monsters that could easily kill you. Hell, there had already been three – an Empousa, a giant eagle, and a Dracaena. Maybe he could name them and you wouldn’t think he was absolutely crazy.

His silence makes you more frustrated.

“Can you just tell me what’s going on? You can talk to me.” You plead.

Percy looks up slowly.

For a moment, you think he is going to talk. You think he might tell what has been bothering him, what has made him avoid you.

Percy brushes past you and leaves you standing in the hallway.

Alone.
