Goddamn, the lottery in Canada is crazy right now.
Lotto Max had a jackpot last night for $70 million plus 70x 1 million dollar prizes. I just went over the numbers and 48 people got a whole lot richer last night. Unfortunately I wasn't one of them 😔 Ah well, there's always next draw, which will be $70 million and 70x $1 million again, because the main jackpot wasn't won last night and there's too much money held up in the system.
And before anyone from the 'States comments, Canadian lottery winnings aren't taxable. If you win $70 milion, you get to keep $70 million.
There's so much good I could do with that kind of money. $1 million or even half of that would be utterly life changing for me. I could pay off all debt, pay off my house, and go back to school full-time on that kind of money with plenty left over. I'd also want to help as many people as possible of course, so all those posts about people struggling that I reblog? Y'all just got a couple thousand dollars each, at minimum.
And if I got the $70 million? Hoo boy, all my pipe dreams just came true. I could help a lot of people with that kind of money. Everything my city needs that it's lacking I just funded by my damn self.
I know lottery isn't an investment blah blah blah etc. like some people have tried to belittle me with in the past, but at this point my lottery playing is very ritualized - I play the same one line of numbers every draw and buy a ticket for ten draws with those numbers once a month for $50. It's $5 a line over 10 draws, which is 2 a week so 5 weeks. If I forget to buy a ticket on time and miss a draw I feel like I've done something wrong. Usually I get a couple free plays on the ticket by the time it runs out, but I never buy more than the one line of numbers. Also, buying one line of numbers gets you two extra lines automatically, so three chances at a prize per ticket. I started buying them 10 draws at a time due to the pandemic to limit how often I have to go out to get the next ticket.
Anyways, I think I'm gunna try to dive into some of that abundance manifestation stuff again - a little optimistic positivity never hurt anyone, right?
