Artist Tristan Perich Investigates The Emotional Depths Of Electronic Media
As a composer and sound artist, Tristan Perich's artistic practice is inspired by the aesthetic simplicity of math, physics, and code, often focusing on electronic 1-bit sound. His installation work investigates the relationship between sound and object often utilizing transcendental effects of repetitive algorithms, and a restrained expressionistic pallet for digital media.
His award-winning work coupling 1-bit electronics with traditional forms in both music (Active Field, Observations) and visual art (Machine Drawings, Microtonal Wall) has been presented around the world, from Sonar and Ars Electronica to the Whitney Museum and bitforms gallery.

02/08/14 The Mixology festival at Roulette concluded, opening with a set by Loud Objects (Tristan Perich and Kunal Gupta) with drummer Greg Fox (Liturgy, Z's, Guardian Angel. Perich and Gupta soldered circuits together which generated sound on top of a pedastal comprised of 12 white fluorescent tubes, while Fox drummed furiously, creating a soundforce which climaxed in a crescendo akin to a jet airliner taking off. M. Geddes Gengras followed with a moody set of modular analog electronics, followed by Outer Space (with John Elliott of Emeralds) who played a satisfying set of cinematic synth journies.
