Three fun facts for three flowers :D
🌻 - The author of the books Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland and Alice Through The Looking Glass was named Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, though he was better known as Louis Carroll, the pen name he wrote under.
🌻 - In the earliest original drafts of Hannah-Barbera’s ‘Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?’ Velma and Shaggy were meant to be siblings. Additionally, Velma was always purposefully coded as lesbian, although they weren’t really able to show it being coding (as the original cartoon was released in 1969).
🌻 - The official state mammal of Connecticut (USA) is a sperm whale. The official insect is the praying mantis, and the flower is the mountain laurel. I cannot tell you why these represent Connecticut, and frankly I would be scared to find out.

I have googled the answer to the riddle “Why is a raven like a writing desk?” and apparently someone asked Louis Carroll and this was his answer.
LEWIS CARROLL himself proposed an answer in the 1897 final revision of Alice's Adventures. "Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front!" The early issues of the revision spell "never" as "nevar", ie "raven" with the wrong end in front.

I don’t know if it’s right, but knowing what I know about Carroll (he was a drug addict with quiet a few mental problems) I wouldn’t be surprised if it was true.
