saw this vid today talking about LUCID and how the bridge repeating “how did i get here” over and over is like mental spiraling or a panic attack. and that the music slowing down to silence is like you taking a deep breath to stop the spiraling. and then when the borderline meditative sounds slowly come back in along with “i’ll be okay” it’s like self soothing and then the slow introduction of wind, waves, nature, sounds of life and people moving or coughing in the background is like you returning to reality 🥺
i just love how much louis loves ambient noise on this album and turns it into intentional moments of music 😭
harry got splinters in his knuckles crawling across the floor so louis said “oh no 🥺” and had the flooring changed to linoleuuuuum.
