IDK if you meant my real name or my fandom name. My real name is pretty common, I've had real life friends with my same name and I currently work with a few ppl with the same first name. I sometimes get physical mail for someone who shares my first AND last name!
I came up with my fandom name because it was normal to intentionally separate your online life from your real life for safety reasons back then, and I still want them kept separate, please do not share if you know my real name, or any other personal information. I've seen ppl get doxxed, sometimes over having a difference of opinion over fictional characters/ships. I try to stay out of all that these days, and I don't pick hills to fight on, or provoke arguments.
I came up with "Burnadette" ages ago and even then, I knew it was a little cheesy, but unique enough to not lean too far into cringey, ppl had some fun names back then that were a little cheesy! It's nostalgic now and I don't want to change it. It's based on Bernadette, the song by The Four Tops, a powerful song about obsession, which is kind of how I saw the joy of fandom all that time ago, being obsessed with smtg with other ppl could be a source of joy. I spelled it Burn in tribute to how we used to have running fandom jokes about Louis setting things on fire. Anyway, if you share Burnadette with me, maybe that means it's still not too cheesy after all!
