chapter 3:
It had been a week sense I heard anything. Nothing from Louis, and nothing from Harry. I did not know why but for some reason I was upset. I mean yeah I know I just met Louis but we did have a good time right. And I mean Harry even said that Louis hadnt ask to make sure I was okay and got home good before. Was that a sign or was Harry just trying to make me feel better about the fact that his best friend basically just did not care what happened.
I was sitting in the kitchen eating breakfast, then Ryan walked in. "Hello stranger" He said as he went and turned on the stove. "And what does that mean." I ask snarky I was so not in the mode for his games today.
"Oh nothing just glad to see your not sulking anymore over that jackass anymore" Ryan came to sit beside me now. "He is not a jackass" I said. "Honey he left you at some random house with some random guy and still has not called to apologize" Ryan looked at me. "He's a jackass".
I just sighed and nodded. Maybe he was right. Maybe all that Harry said didnt mean anything. Maybe he was just covering for Louis. Who knows. "I'm going for a walk, be back later" I said and walk out the door.
The wind was cool as it hit my face just off the tide. In the morning it is always this way, the sun just breaking the surface with low tide and cool winds. This was my place. The place I went to clear my head, where nothing bad could happen. Where my problems became small and nothing seemed to matter anymore.
There was a storm coming, you could always tell. The waves would rush the shore and the wind would never let up. It was only a matter of time before it hit. The news says it to be one of the biggest, to ever hit. But who is to say that is accurate. Here we never really know for sure.
The water running over my feet was refreshing, while the sand fading away from under my feet was soothing. I was walking back up from the beach. I noticed someone walking towards me. I could not make out there body until when they were standing almost directly in front of me.
I would know those eyes, that voice, that hair anywhere. I was what I had been dreaming about seeing this whole time. Only now I was not dreaming, I was certainly awake and he was standing right in front of me.
"Bella can we talk" His eyes were pleading and looked as if he had maybe been crying. A little puffy and slightly red but I just figured he had just woken up. "Sure" I said my voice breaking more than I would have liked. we walked down and found a bench to sit on. Just right down from where I just was.
"Okay you wanted to talk. so here is your chance" I said breaking the silence. "I'm sorry" He paused. "I'm sorry for everything I acting like a moron. I should have never left you alone, and not told you why, or not call you to explain. But alot has happened since I last saw you" Louis said looking out onto the ocean.
"Louis I" He cut me off. " No I need you to understand something. It was never my intention on leaving you but my grandmother is not doing well, she had to be admitted in to the hospital the other day and everything has just been crazy. With her in their my grandfather is not doing to well either. My mom is a mess and well no one really knows how to handle her but me." He said the way he talked about his family did something to me.
It was weird like I could almost feel a pull on my heart, something breaking inside for his pain. What was going on. "I just needed to come tell you because I had a really good time with you the other night, and I did not want that to be the last time we saw each other" Louis finally looked at me. And I could tell then he was not a jackass, he did care and he felt awful.
"I mean I cant really be mad about it sense you did come all the way over here, and you had a reason for all the madness. But you will need to do one other thing before I fully forgive you." I smiled to myself. "Name it" Louis jumped.
"You have to take me out on a real date and you know call me back the next day" I smiled. "You got it. Hows tonight" I saw the relief wash off his face as I nodded. "Pick you up at seven wear something simple" he smiled and kissed my hand goodbye as we walked back up the beach to his car.
It was time for my date with Louis. I was so nervous. I had been nervous all day Ryan left awhile ago so I was here to deal with this alone. It was not going over well. I finally decided on a pretty red sundress and some perfectly worn cowboy boots. I grabbed a jackets just in case and headed for the knocking on the door.
"You look WOW" Louis kissed me on the cheek as I greeted him. "You clean up pretty good to if I do say so myself." I hooked my arm in his and we went on our way. We weren't headed for his car so I was unsure where this was going considering there was no eating places anywhere near walking distance of my house.
"Uh Lo you mind telling me where we are going" I said softly. "You just hate surprises dont you" We laughed together. We came up on this blanket with candles lit and a basket on the beach. Not to far from where we were earlier.
"This is so nice. No one has ever done this for me before" I smiled while Louis helped me down. "Well a girl like you deserves someone to do romantic shit like this for her all the time." Louis sat down facing me. "Romantic shit huh" I teased. "Well we all have oue limits." Louis smiled.
The date was perfect. We talked, the food was great and the set up was just amazing. We were walking back up the beach. "So unless you want to end the night early which I mean who would want to do that when their with me. Would you care to join me on another adventure" Louis asked holding my hand.
"Well sense you ask so gracefuly I dont see why not" I agreed. We loaded up in his car and took off. We had been driving for a good while when we finaly pulled of and came apon a house I remebered. We were at Harrys house. Which I guess was Louis house to.
A house I thought I will be getting to know well. We walk up the stairs and into the front door. There was no one inside that I could tell but there were a lot of cars out side. Louis grabbed my hand and led me out onto the patio. There was everyone. Not that many people but enough to all give the glares as we walk out. There was a small bonfire.
Some people sitting around the fire and some in little groups. I gripped Louis's hand tighter. Why was I getting glares, I didnt even know these people. We walk over to the people by the fire and Louis introduced me. But that did not stop them from treating me like I was scum.
"I am going to use the bathroom. I will be right back" I whispered in Louis's ear and walked back inside. I let out a hard sigh and walk to the bathroom. But running into something solid and hard. "Excuse me Im sorry" I said stepping back. "I mean I knew I smelt good, but I wasnt expecting for a pretty girl to notice so soon" Harry's raspy voice sent chills all the way down to my feet.
"Long time no see" I said. blushing a little. "yeah I was wondering when I would see you again." Harry smiled down at me. He was so tall. Louis was tall but Harry was really tall. If I wanted to kiss him I would have to be on my tip toes. wait a second, why was I worried about kissing Harry. I needed to get out of this hallway and back out side.
"well dont leave on my count, and here I thought you wanted to talk to me" What was he doing. Was he flirting with me. Why did that make me happy if he was. "Um no I just needed to get back out side, im a very popular person." I smiled to myself. "Oh trust I know" Harry winked.
"There you are styles, I see you found my girl, Please dont tell me you are making Bella uncomfortable are you" Louis came up behind me. "Oh trust me Lo that was not the case at all Lo" Harry nodded then walked past me and Louis winking and making his way back out side. I was in trouble....
