This itinerary for the Southern Tour of the Princeton Glee Clubs is significant for a few reasons: First, that it refers to the College of New Jersey as “Princeton University,” yet Princeton did not officially change its name to this until 1896, and second, that on this 1893 tour, the Glee Club set an unusual record for a musical group. On December 30, 1893, their tour train made the journey between Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio in the fastest time anyone ever had. They covered 119 miles in 136 minutes.
