A Rock and a Hard Place // James & Louis activity challenge

Two days. James had been home from Hogwarts for two days, and already he was dragging his feet, wondering when the train would be back to whisk him away. For the last time, he remebered every so often, only to push the thought over to the back burner in his brain. But now that he was out running errands for his grandmother, with the biting December wind blowing in his face, he couldn’t think of anywhere he’d rather be than the Gryffindor common room. Instead, he was traipsing about Diagon Alley, with Louis, of all people, at his side.

It wasn’t that James disliked Louis, by any means. He’d never truly understood him was all. And it seemed that, no matter the opportunity, he’d never made much headway with any of his (poorly executed) attempts. Over the years, with their distance capitalized by Louis’ being at Beauxbatons and his closeness with Dominique, things had gotten more awkward--- more tense. And today, judging by the silence, wasn’t going to be any exception.

The pair ducked into an apothecary, narrowly avoiding a dasterdly gust of wind. “What’s it called that she needs again?” James asked Louis, not at all meeting his eyes as he spoke.

Though she’s never actually owned either, Abby likes to think she’s more of a cat person than a dog person.

Abby has worked at the same coffee shop since she was 14 years old. It’s two blocks from her flat and she picks up shifts during the school breaks.

She has never wanted to find her father. Her mother is the most perfect parent, and she’s never felt any sort of “missing piece” due to his absence in her life.

Abigail is terrible at buying Christmas gifts.

She is afraid of needles,

but she is MORE afraid of horses.

Abby loves coffee, more than most other things.

What color was your childhood home?

The Greengrass family home is a stately Victorian, with a brick exterior, and white trimmings.

Do you like where you’re from?

It’s not that Jax dislikes where they’re from in particular, the country is fine by them, and the house and the gardens and such would be fine if they weren’t associated so heavily with family. So not particularly, but it’s less of a dislike for the actual location than for their family.

lou lou is everything to dom. dominique always wanted to be closer to lou and it hurt her to watch him be closer to victoire, but she slowly got over it -- understanding that she wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea. it took a while for her to understand that not everyone has to be her best friend. 

dominique WANTS a relationship with lou, though. she wants lou to like her like he likes vic. she wants him to go to her with everything -- whenever he needs someone, she promises to be there. the thought of not being close to her siblings hurts, and dominique has never really been very close to either of them and it’s been -- well, quite tough.
