he’s rapid to glance up, eyes widening further in surprise. he can feel his heart swelling, navigating the incoming emotions. he’s trying not to let them get the better of him - he’s still a crybaby. there’s a pause for a moment, wondering how’s best to respond.

izuku opts to stand, enveloping his twin in a hug, grip firm and warm. holding his brother close for a few moments, basking in the peace and familiarity of it. no matter what happened, they always had one another - now and forever.

“izukun… same here.” he starts. that sounded lame, but…it was still genuine, and he hoped his brother could pick up on that. “no matter what happens - we have one another, okay? and we always will. no matter how far apart we seem sometimes!” he’ll gently knock his head against his twin’s, a squeeze to follow. “you can’t get rid of me that easily, izukun…” a light tease. he’d always follow in his brother’s footsteps. there’s all might and kacchan, sure, but his brother? will always be his greatest hero.
