An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
This is the first time I’ve logged onto this tumblr account in about 5 months, and I know I’m the worst for updating my fics but I hope there are still some people who will read this.
Continuation from:
He had a shit eating grin plastered on his face as he stepped closer. “I've figured it all out,” he said, the gears in his head locking into place.
She usually would have just walked away from him, not caring what he had to say, but there was something about his tone that unsettled her. “What are you talking about?”
She still hadn't backed down, and she didn't intend to. Beca had had enough of his blackmailing, his stupid smirks and the power he thought he had over her. She was going to stand her ground and get him to back off once and for all. She wasn't going to let him treat her like shit anymore, she had put up for it for years and she was finally going to put a stop to it. If Chicago wouldn't get out of her way, then she was going to make him.
She knew she couldn't do too much - as far as she knew, Chicago still had the emails, and had every intent to continue blackmailing her. But she couldn't keep doing nothing. She also wouldn't let him get away with continuously flirting with other girls when he supposedly liked Chloe. She deserved so much better than that - than him.
“Seriously, what the fuck man? Haven't you done enough? I did what you wanted.”
Her words clearly had no impact on him because Chicago took another step towards her, he was close enough that Beca could feel his breath against her cheek. She let out a shaky breath as he leaned closer to her, his mouth next to her ear.
“I know you're in love with Chloe,” he whispered.
