Love how in Columbo, it seems like he drives a very dilapidated, very run down car, (which it is) but in reality, the car is a 1959 Peugeot convertible model 403, which only had around 2,000 of them made. It really does portray his character as something unassuming on the outside, but in reality is such a rarity.
And just one more thing. If you're wondering where the car is now, it's rotting away in a storage lot in Ensenada. An unfortunate end to such a piece of iconic tv history.
