I hate promises.
Remember that night, the night you gave me bread. Oh wait you didn’t, you left me for dead. It was my fault, that’s what I misled. It was my fault, I dead the dead.
A year’s gone by, and a year will go by. Even a year doesn’t erase that feeling of dread. You didn’t know, and maybe you won’t ever. Here I thought I was clever.
But in the end, I feel like I was the one to lose, and I did lose something so beautiful as you. I was in the way, it hurt like hell. I was dead and gone, or that’s how I fell.
I wish I could tell, I wanted to scream, but you left me there dead at the seam...
I don’t blame you, I blame myself. What I’ve learned is more than hell. This knot it my throat, one day it’ll pass. Or at least I pray so. Gone at last.
Remember that night? The one we forgot? You promised me never, I saw it rot.
Remember that night, we woke to a glow. You told me you loved me, I loved you so.
