"Do you think you’ll get a date, Mr Hatzis?” Tea asked, holding a clipboard to her chest with the list of things she needed to do. The young woman had already been at the old aged care facility for an hour and crossed off two items on her list to get ready for the dance she’d planned for those there. So far she’d made sure the handyman fixed the bathrooms connected to the rec room and placed an order for some special food for the evening.
The older, very Greek man with his heavy tan and greying hair, smiled in response, “you can’t be my date, Tea?” he asked and she smiled and shook her head. “Guess I’ll try asking Mya, I heard her say she was going to talk to that girl from the clinic today,” the older man added with a raise of his brows that made tea laugh, smile filling her cheeks at just how excited he still was.
“How about I walk you there? Maybe I’ll pick up some stuff too,” she told him with a wink, taking him by the arm and walking with him to one of the nurses offices that they had given to whoever was volunteering to set up in. It took no time at all and Tea stood by the door when he walked in. “You’ll save me a dance right, Mr Hatzis, even if Mya gets handsy?” she teased him, eyes slowly moving from him to the woman waiting in the room.
