Happy 10th Birthday, Yeen!!

For those who don’t know. I tried a number of different blogs on tumblr. Earthen-bestiary was about weird animals I loved. Knowledge-exploitation was where I shared weird and niche magic the gathering cards. @bizarre-trader ended up being a fusion of a few different things and was a joy to interact through the mtg community with.

It was today 10yrs ago @that-darn-hyena first doodled the guy and officially christened the character. I cannot put into words how much love I have for this image.

I used my dnd gnoll merchant Yeen because I LOVE making weird merchants. I took inspiration from the sandsverse blogs like fruits of the ape. Yeen would shout about mtg cards as if they were things you could buy, and he ran from 2016-2019. In that time I sent people cards, people sent me cards, I received an entirely rad gremlin crochet that must have taken SO much time, love, and care. 2016-2020 was probably the darkest part of my life, and I credit Yeen and how beloved he was for how I found my own self esteem and became my own person.

The character retired around 2019 but he holds a special place in my heart. If Jones represents me in my 30’s then Yeen most certainly represents me in my 20’s.

Thank you all for the love, it was such a joy to run.

She/They, He/They, Cool Hat

The only major note I got for this is about Agate. They were previously named Ash (or rather Ashryn) who was a Fighter + Criminal. Now though, they're a Barbarian + Urchin- who may look angry all the time, but they're actually pretty sweet :]

Oh, and since it's pride month:

Agate [She/They] is both Aromantic and Bisexual.

Farros [He/They] is both Gay and Graysexual.

b'Lue [They/It] is Gender Apathetic and Queer- not really having a specific romantic / sexual attraction label that fits them.

Pox&Plume Episode 15: Blorgs & Black Holes You know, everybody loves a good table-top role-playing game; however, you need to make sure that you're using the right B&B character sheets, and not top-secret Gno'ziel documents.

I figured I'd make some new character sheets for the Gorf and the Gno'ziel (AKA, Plume & Pox's governments); the stats noted are currently the stats I use in all of my Stellaris games involving them. The Gorf belongs to @akdrawingcorner

too impatient and busy to draw on my puter. Gnolls from their Golden Age from my friend's DND world. no they did not make the gnolls it was I, Eel, who did that. I insisted upon it and for some reason they let me do gnoll worldbuilding. anyways,

Delmora is the continent on which the DND campaign occurs. It is where spotted gnolls and aard-gnolls (aardwolf gnolls) once had their great cities and alliance, about a thousand years ago. The continent is generally of colder weather, and the Delmoran gnolls live in plains and near mountains. They wear clothing that keeps them warm in the cold environment. Both kinds of gnolls have cultural rules against public shirtlessness. Aard-gnolls are much more stringent with their modesty (although obv these rules can vary with region and local culture) Non-Delmoran gnolls live in a different continent. Their native environments are warm and humid (jungle!). Both peoples highly value their manes (real brown and striped hyenas use them to communicate) and it is seen as strange, odd, and even suspicious if one hides one's mane. This is why are fine with being shirtless. Boobs out for communication! Striped gnolls have gold jewlery that is often hammered and they place great importance on their belts and neck-jwlery, which can signal wealth/power. Brown gnolls have soem gold jewlery, but focus more on beadwork. They also have more rules around showing one's legs (scandalous!). Of course, these rules are mostly generalizations of their culture. Each culture had its variation, especially due to the frequent and established trade between the continents. Gnolls of each continent traveled and settled in new places, and it was not uncommon to see cultural enclaves or cultural mixture in major ports and cities. Non-Delmoran and Delmoran gnolls had established trade between themselves, and for a long time the four gnoll-kinds had a mutual peace. Trade is better than war, especially when other people surrounding you may see you as a beast.

The arrival of new gods heralded the end of the Golden Age of Gnolls in Delmora. Nowadays their communities are scattered and isolated, their cities and strongholds in ruins or occupied by new people. All gnolls share common religious notes among them, and there was no place for gnoll gods in the new age...

Mish'kra Hanimu, my DND character, is a spotted gnoll born around a thousand years after the end of the golden age.
