12 We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright! We’ll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us!
13 But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

Its amazing how death puts life into focus...like it gives permission to the world to take a deep breath and let the important things become crystal clear. As if all the sudden and maybe even just for a brief moment, our brains are actually working proper.
I had the immense privilege, of attending the service of an unbelievably incredible, 94 year old lady, today. To witness the love of her husband and hear just a little bit of their love story...let me tell you, the notebook has nothing on the tears that sprung today. I don’t feel its my place to share too many details, so I’ll wrap up with this, I’ve known this dear woman to be of big importance to my friend for a long time, but now, I feel like I get it. Thank you friend for the perspective butt kick. I think I may have needed it. <3
