Problematic Reasons: They have a 9 year age gap, they hate each other's guts and one of the characters (Adam) physically hurt the other so bad, it is a fanon that said character has ugly scars on his back from that attack.

Listen, LISTEN TO ME. It's all about that enemies to lovers, that opposites attract, the hurt/comfort, the yearning, the denial of feelings, that ying and yang shit.

Adam can search for his "Eve" all he wants, but even when he got 'it', IT DIDN'T MAKE HIM HAPPY. He needs someone who can give and take like him, someone passionate in the arts of skating (or really the concept of creative art as we know it) like he is, someone he can learn what true love is. SOMEONE WHO SEES HIM FOR WHO HE IS, NOT JUST AS HIS POLITICIAN PERSONA OR HIS ADAM PERSONA IN S.

And I think that someone is Reki. NOW, Reki isn't there to "heal" all of Adam's scars. After all, Reki has 'scars' of his own that were left by none other than Adam himself. HOWEVER, I do not view Reki as an "uwu unproblematic baby that must be protected at all cost!!1!". I see Reki so deeply FLAWED and it's that IMPERFECTION that matches Adam's "PERFECTION" well.

Reki and Adam are opposites but COULD UNDERSTAND each other so well. Learning what it means to be in the other's shoes, challenging each other's belief, be able to stand on EQUAL ground, being their TRUE HUMAN AND FLAWED SELF with each other. Also, they fr have the nastiest and most kinky- ☝️

He experiences it about five minutes after entering Derek’s loft - intent on focusing on the day’s meeting when he catches Peter in the corner, watching him from the bottom step of the spiral staircase.

Instability (Steter)

Just as these thoughts coast through his mind, the scenery before Stiles begins to change. Clouds roll in over head, dimming out the sun. Brown brush and broken trees start to stir as a warm breeze passes by. Stiles turns to peer back over his shoulder and no sooner does he do this that the clearing appears before him. This time he’s just on the outskirts, peaking between trees to see the Nemeton and a figure standing before it.

Two figures to be exact and as the clouds part, clearing the sky, day turns into night. It feels as if no time has passed and yet the moon - in its full phase - sits high up in the sky.

He slaps Reki in the face before grabbing it, fingers digging into puffy cheeks until that too hurts. Crying out, Reki pulls at Adam’s hair and for a moment, there’s nothing but heavy breathing and the dull throb of pain Reki feels coursing through his body. “I think it was more fitting when you were terrified of me.” Adam’s voice rides on a heavy growl but he speaks low and carefully between deep breaths. “That night on the track when I held you in my arms and you looked so frightened, do you remember?” He grins and Reki’s tears begin to fall.

“I am frightened of you. You’re crazy.”
