The Republic of Councils Monument, a gigantic statue of a charging sailor, is part of a collection of Cold War monuments found in Memento Park 🌳 Lenin initiated the strategy of “Monumental Propaganda” where massive sculpture was used to promote and celebrate communist ideas💡 The statues were eventually removed from the streets of Budapest and relegated to this deserted space outside of town.
