1. Do you speak any foreign languages (this might be English, too, I’m not so ethnocentric that I think you’re all American)?
I'm currently a 2nd year American Sign Language student; it's truly a beautiful language, very fun to learn, fairly simple, and a gateway into a whole new culture that lies right in our own back yards. It's important that I mention that ASL is not English. It's truly a language of it's own, though it does borrow from English occasionally. I'm also a fan of Italian and French, both of which I hope to learn more of in the near future. I have Rosetta Stone for them both, as well as Memrise (a GREAT site/app that I highly recommend, not only for your language needs)!.
2. Do you believe in the paranormal?
Absolutely. To what extent, I can't really say. But I do. I have some stories of my own, as well as my brother, and stories from my native american bloodline.
3. What is the first fandom you can recall being a part of?
Hmm. I think that's a hard line to determine, so I'll go with the first show that I marathon-ed like a devout little chit, and that was Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh come to think of it, I suppose Harry Potter, on the book side of things. Idk, I've slept a lot since then. :\
4. What is your favorite genre of music and why do you think you like it so much?
It's not that simple. :\ I can truly say I like a variety of genres and it weighs heavily on the mood I've been in on a long term basis. Lately I've been really into the more indie-style music, though. I definitely like it because they put a lot of effort into lyrics, they're meaningful and relatable, and the tunes that go along with them can be quite beautiful and yes, catchy.
5. Which animal is your favorite?
Blast! I don't know. I love 98% of them. lol
6. What do you want to do when you ‘grow up’? Or are you there already?
HA. Good question. I'm so very, very torn on the subject. I want to do photography, but I want to work with animals, but I want to go into psychology, but sometimes I don't want to live past next year, so no one knows, least of all myself.
7. Which is your favorite flower?
I'm rather fond of daffodils and calla lilies. Though I'm not very knowledgeable on the topic of flowers and have received precious few of them. Oooh, I must really find out what the flowers were in my bouquet last Valentine's day (my first!), because I loved all of those.
8. Do you collect anything, like some sort of knick-knack?
I used to collect dragons. I've stopped for the moment, and donated the majority of them to my niece, mostly due to their quality... they weren't bad, but as I'm all grown up, I like to look for higher quality decor. I still have this one white dragon that my sister bought for me for my birthday one year. I'd like to add more to my collection, but they have to be really nice ones. I haven't seen any (or really gone looking, 'cause I'm not in a hurry and it's not like I have a place to decorate) that fit the bill.
9. Are you a neat freak, or are you messy?
Somewhere in the middle. I'm a little messy (but not to the point of dirty) and you can tell if I've been stressed out if you find me cleaning things to be spotless.
10. What is your favorite chore? Least favorite?
Sleeping. Everything else. :P
11. What is your favorite scent?
I love, love, love aromas. I've almost always got some sort of candle or air freshener about. I enjoy lavender, fresh linen, Fall-related scents, and I'm particularly fond of vanilla. I like to burn nag champa sometimes. I love scents that elicit strong memories- for example one of my favorite scents from Bath & Body Works is cucumber melon, because it transports me back to a rainy day in Columbia, Missouri when my SIL and I sat on the balcony, we had AD&D books scattered all over the table, and she was helping me create my very first character sheet! Ah, the beginning of my geekhood. ^_^
