I'm such a hypocrite cos I want Dex to live and feel sorry for him but I could not give a fuck about Vanessa and Fisk and was so glad when she died 😬 I needed to watch their scenes in case something important happened that would be relevant for future episodes but damn I was so bored and wanted to skip...🙄
WHAA??!! i was so focused during the scenes w vanessa in the hospital. Yes, her and wilson are/were monsters. doing insane, illegal shit, making unbelievable schemes, but she was, to put it simply, the only one to match his insanity. Vanessa was the only person capable of keeping him contained. The only person who could make him analyze his own actions.
Fisks' dismissal to the healthcare workers was part of her downfall. Vanessa woke up with some new ethics and told him, "you scared that poor girl, she was in tears." and he took a step back. if ANYONE ELSE said that their head would be smashed like that one scene (u know the one).
So I viewed it as- this insane, unhinged, powerful man, truly only cares about one thing even though he can manipulate entire cities. entire organizations. but he would step away from ALL of that power for her.
And then- He loses his forever. He is now alone. Completely alone. His northern star- gone. BOOM.
