Finnegens polite smile was beginning to feel painted and tightened in his jaw as he bobbed his head, laughing agreeably with the portly aged gentlemen plus his wife who was currently clinging onto his arms elbow. His fingers had begun to tighten on the slim stemmed glass holding a golden fizzing champaign nearly empty. Some of the people here he knew, were very much like estranged aunts and uncles that words for and with his mother and father for many years resulting in Finnegen growing up with their stories and almost family like get together a every other week. Yet the majority were unknown, small businesses, larger corporations looking for sponsors or work, or gaggles of housewives masking themselves as socialites, flying around his mother and butlers carrying the drinks. Finnegen nodded his head in agreement with a tight lipped smile an aired laugh before bowing his head in an apology, claiming that he must go find one or both of his parents. Perhaps, between servings of food to the table and on trays, Nancy may cook him up a small batch of cookies or homemade lemon drizzle cake. Turning on a polished heel of a military boot he turned away, brining up the rim of clear cut glass and downing away the rest of the bubbling liquid before disposing of the glass on one of the hired butlers. His dark grey suit trousers, that fit tightly around his legs and skinned as they went on were tucked into his boot, with a pearl white shirt untucked, black waistcoat, charcoal suit jacket and red burgundy bow tie with matching suspenders. Hair was styled slightly shorter on the sides but then a mass of dark waves and curls. As he was adjusting the silver cufflinks when a firm, soft body pressed against his harshly momentary before jolting back. Finnegen lifted his eyes and narrowed his gaze at the young male before they widened. The male had green eyes like the colour of trees ontop of the Icelandic mountains he had skied on, possibly with flecks of gold but he wasn't close enough to tell. His hair was either artfully styled for hours or he had simply rolled out of bed after spending a wonderful evening not sleeping. "You bumped into me." Finnegen quipped. Though the words were spluttered and nervous as not as cool, calm or collected as the young aristocrat had imagined but he was quick to narrow his eyes again and ignore the pleasurable pool of heat in his abdomen.
