DAY 3 - POISON
1st thought: "Poison only kills those who drink it."
This sentence is so important to me. It basically says: hate only cause troubles to those who feel it. Why do you wanna hurt yourself with bad thoughts about you or others? Don’t, it’s simply not working, if not on you(and even if this is what you wanted, trust me, that's not going to change anything: stop hating and start loving yourself, at least appreciate your efforts and try to change the things that you don't like).
Live with peace in your heart, don’t let the bad thoughts or emotions get the best of you or go too deep inside. Ofc, it’s normal to experience bad feelings here and there and it’s actually very good to let them out, but to keep them for long inside? Why? Is it working? Is it helping you reach a goal? I don’t think so. I think it only poisons your mind and soul in the long run. Let these feelings go as soon as you can, turn the page, and keep living in peace. Your own peace of mind. Let indifference for others take over. Indifference is even worse than hate, yk? But I feel it's healthier for us, and we're the first people we need to always look after.
2nd thought: Poison by Alkaline Trio. Oh and Veleno by Subsonica (Italian band that I love). Yeah, two songs. Idk why I have so many songs in my mind, but I think I'll add (at least) one everyday.
Breve vocabolario in Italiano: poison = il veleno poisonous (adj.) = velenos-o/a/i/e poisoning = l'avvelenamento antidote = l'antidoto phial, vial = la fiala toxins = le tossine toxic (adj.) = tossic-o/a/i/he lethal (adj.) = letale/i skull = il teschio gastric lavage = la lavanda gastrica
It's been a while since I did one of these, but if you need a bit of extra practice in your target language, here's one way to do it.
So, what even is this?
NVA stands for Noun, Verb, Adjective. The goal is to write a sentence or a small paragraph containing all the words prompted that day, as seen in the images above. You get to be creative, maybe learn some new words, and overall just practice your target language. Win-win!
How do I participate?
Easy peasy - just write! Write in your notebook, on your mirror, on your hand, or post to tumblr, just write something for that day and see if you can do it throughout the whole month. Of course, if you post it online, the whole langblr community can help each other out and come with corrections, so we all learn even more!
Rad! Anything else I should know?
You have to use all three words in your entry for the day, but you may of course conjugate all you want. If you post it to tumblr, be sure to tag it either as #nva challenge or #nva august, and I’ll check it out and reblog things! If you still have questions, feel free to message me at any time.
What if I miss a day?
No sweat! Just do your very best. You can catch up if you want to, or just pick up from wherever we are. Hell, continue after August if you like the format!
Go forth and conquer your target language!
Full word list under the cut.
saw this on twitter, thought it might be helpful!

Hello~ ☕ differences between "official" authors and fanfic writers. Hope you have a lovely day! 🐼
KCJSKS OMG HI, I LOVE YOUR BLOG 🤩💖
Okay so, the main difference for me is obviously the fact that one author is paid to write while the other is not.
A published author also (usually) has a team working on the book, which obviously makes the process of finishing it much easier/faster.
There's also this idea that writing fanfiction might be 'easier' since you already have a pre-established world/characters, but I don't find that to always be the truth. But I think that also depends on the kind of fanfiction you write and your weaknesses as a writer.
Your process as a fanfic writer might actually not be that different from a published author tbh.
Besides that though? I think both categories of writers are pretty similar:
We love to write;
We write for an audience;
We put our blood, sweat and tears into our writing;
We spend hours upon hours working on it, either by brainstorming, drafting, writing or editing;
Positive comments make us happy and motivated, negative comments makes us feel the exact opposite;
Doesn't matter if you're a published author or not, a writer is always evolving;
You'll find amazing published books as much as you'll find amazing fanfiction;
The same with bad books/bad fanfiction;
With that said, the worth of your story is definitely not defined if it's a published work or not;
That's pretty much my thoughts on it ☺️ tysm for asking, hope you're having a wonderful day!
Hello~ ☕ how fiction helps people. Hope you have a lovely day! 🐼
Did..you... I'm sorry I lagged for a moment there
Did you just send me, a commoner, an ask? Dbejjdndkemcnieejdhejemsm
OHMY ma'am I love your content!!😭♥️♥️ And I love your blog 😭♥️😭♥️
Fiction is personally my fav genre/section of books to read. Now even fiction has different types of course- fiction related to this world, fictions related to some imaginary world, fictions that combine both. And even these have further categories AND I can blabber on forever I'm a little a nervous sorry.
But! Getting to the point, I think fiction is a little escape from reality. It's a different dimension. The reason fiction is so popular is that it takes everyone's attention and worries away for those few hours you're reading it. The characters in fictions can be as closely as humane and as far from from it as possible and someone somewhere will relate to it. For sure. Everything in a fiction can be manipulated. What can't happen on real life can happen in fiction.
It gives people an outlet, both the writer and the reader. Outlet to explore and feel a little bit more. Because see, even in these times when after so many lockdowns and social distancing, after people have minimal social interactions, after people have grown bored of video calls, in the numbness one feels, fiction (books or movies) are still an anchor to a lot of peeps out there. It makes you feel, it keeps you sane. It's not just entertainment. It's an anchor that, no matter how far away it takes you from reality, also keeps you in it.
I hope I answered this well?
Thank you! Hope you have a lovely day/night too!❣️❣️
