Blue: What song do you listen to when you’re feeling down? Lately all I’ve been listening to is the Hamilton soundtrack, so I guess that’d probably be Satisfied.Cup: Do you drink tea or coffee? That's so sad, it's as if being denied heritage, especially when growing up in a Jewish home. They should still be recognized as Jewish because one if their parents are, not just the mother. I am not Jewish, but I hope the community comes to change that and include anyone with it in their background, especially with someone as close as having a Jewish father. It compares to being black/white: if your father is black, you can say you're black too.. The choice is up to how you want to present..

Yeah. That’s where the ethnicity and religious aspects of Judaism sort of break down. It made more sense when Jews were more isolated (often very much against our will in Ghettoes and the Pale of Settlement and so forth), but it makes less sense in places that are more pluralistic and accepting of Jews.

Is Jewish ancestry only passed through the mothers side? What if the father is Jewish and married a gentile? Would that make their children not Jewish or no? I wouldn't like to think that it just cancels out /:

Sadly, from a Halachic point of view it doesn’t. Jewish is matrilineal acording to Orthodox and Conservative movements. That’s not the case in Reform and Reconstructionist Judaism, which acknowledged patrilineage. It would be an extreme understatement to say this is one of the biggest intra-Jewish discussions of the moment. I would like to see all movements shift to acknowledge Patrilineage. I can see Conservative Judaism doing it at some point, but I doubt Orthodox will.

One reason dolldelight gave was that she had to change manufacturers, and second was just that she's been really trying to pull it together/really vague. But, yeah, been 3 years - give or take - and nothing to show for it. I've asked of I could at least have mine refunded because her end was never met - no answer. I know she can do it since she makes extra on the side from her dolly dynamite store...

If anyone can get a hold on dolldelight , or really likes her and she makes another go-fund-me-and-get-perks scam, don't do it! There was one a few years ago and no one has ever gotten their gifts - far as I know. I've messaged her a few times over the years - with her giving excuses as answers - but at this point she doesn't even read my messages. Don't give her your money... I feel so bad because someone actually donated $500usd ;;
